spectre x322bv-hd model x32 led backlights bad?

all the voltages are correct. i can see the screen but only on each side and it is very faint but the middle doesn't seem to be having the led's working. when the tv is turned on the backlight flashes then the screen come up the way i described. if left that way eventually it will go back to standby mode after about 5 to 10 minutes. i didn't check the leds yet just wondering if it might be something else i am missing before i take it completely apart to check the leds.

Check voltage to series strings -- should be around 40 to 120V.

it wasn't giving me a good reading it would go to ol but we are getting somewhere cause it was getting brighter when i was checking the voltage and i had it set to 1000volts

i checked it right where it came off the ps at the connector with the tv on

Try using peak hold of meter, but the instability could be a sign of problem/fault.

i don't have that feature on my crappy dmm it was pulsating and the backlight kept flickering. something not regulating the voltage? or a short? want pics? there are 2 poly caps right by the 2 string connectors

Also panel sticker -- e.g. Samsung LTA32AP06 -- may be able to find LED opr voltage.

i got about 166 volts on 1 string and about 306 on the other string thats what i saw. pics aren't the best my camera sucks.

LED and CCFL backlit LCD still use LCD panel. LED TV is a misleading term.
Do you have 400V across main cap?

The number may be printed under the plastic covering.

yeah i have like 380 or somewhere around there
i'll go check for 1 but i didn't see any
the only other number was t20120174 and after that it had the manufactured dated which was 2/13/2012

and about 178 in standby and 24 volts and 5 volts and the 12 volts are all good

Try with only one bulb connector at a time.

i did and it won't display any light if i do that. i tried each and the backlight won't even come on a little unless they are both plugged in
