Hi there, new to the forum and I must say it is very impressive. Anyway, I have an LG 50PG30F-UA Plasma TV and it has various different lines on the screen. On the very bottom there is one horizontal black line that is approximately 3-4 inches wide. After searching around I assume that is the bottom y buffer that needs replacing. On the top half of the screen I get 2 lines that are 3-4 inches wide each but eventually start working. After about 15 seconds one of the bars go away and the other bar goes away after about 15 minutes. Whereas the bottom bar is always there no matter what. Any ideas on what the problem might be?

Re: LG Plasma Multiple Lines
Okay I took some pictures. In the first picture there is a black bar on the top as well as one on the bottom. I couldnt get the second bar that is at the top as it went away very quickly before I took the picture. In the second picture the top bar is gone after about 15 minutes but the bottom one is still there.Comment

Re: LG Plasma Multiple Lines
Try reseating (removing and reconnecting) the y-buffer connectors which correspond to the blocks. Could be a loose connector. Otherwise I would agree with Y-buffer fault. Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

Re: LG Plasma Multiple Lines
The Y-sustain does not discriminate between parts of the screen... it feeds the same signal to all bars. Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

by kdanielAs stated by the person I collected the TV from, it just stopped working overnight. However, I still gave it a go to try and repair it.
There is a thread on the same TV but with slightly different issues where they had to tape connection points on the ribbon cable, so I want to see if this is repairable by any chance.
After bringing it home and plugging it in, the TV turned on with its backlight working but had no picture. After removing the back cover, the first thing I tried is to unplug one of the ribbon cables and the situation is as follows.

by DrvLikHellHello again! I have come back for some wisdom and hopefully for some guidance with this problem I'm having. The TV is a 4k 55" Sharp LC-55p6050u and the problem is every other line of the bottom 32 lines flickers out, comes mostly back, then flickers out again, and repeats this continually. The lines on the bottom right of the screen go out completely while the lines on the bottom left are affected so slightly that it's almost impossible to see it. There is a gradual gradient from appearing almost perfectly fine on the bottom left, to an obvious problem on the bottom right.

by afexThis is my 2nd broken TV I'm trying to fix and haven't been able to figure out... currently going without any working TVs so am hoping to be able to fix one..
This Samsung PN50B430P2D Plasma has this big block of vertical lines which will fade in shortly after turning the TV on. The lines will sometimes flicker a bit or fade in/out and sometimes it just stays present. The length of time it takes them to appear varies, sometimes its a few minutes and other times it appears immediately after powering on.
I have attached an image of the TV with these bars displaying.... -
Friend of mine has a Samsung Plasma panel with some vertical lines that are starting to form on the screen.....Ive never worked on a plasma panel, so Im not sure what to look for, would this typically be a main board issue, or something else?
Any help would be appreciated.....Please let me know....... -
by Stanley1843Hello, I have a screen in where sometimes when I open it pop-up vertical multicolor lines (I would say the most of them are green). If I tun off and turn on the screen the lines dissapear or if I leave open the screen after approximately five minutes the lines gone. I measured the below voltages on the main PCB and on the T-CON board and the voltages are the same when it doesnβt display the vertical lines and when it displays the vertical lines. Also, I cleaned all the connectors very good with IPA. I moved back and forth the connectors and the COF tabs but the vertical lines didn't displayed...
