Re: vizio E320ao autopsy
So instead of a long strip of LEDs it has just a few behind the panel? Interesting, not seen that myself either...any clue on manufacturing date? Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

Re: vizio E320ao autopsy
I have seen them in Samsung, it is back-lit (deeper chassis) instead of edge-lit (thinner chassis, edge-lit just like monitor). With back-lit, they can do zone dimming better than edge-lit.
I also use them for light box and for taking pictures of the circuit boards.Last edited by budm; 01-05-2014, 08:52 PM.Never stop learning

Re: vizio E320ao autopsy
I had heard of it, but only on premium TV, like LE40A950, called local dimming, not available except on a few exclusive models. Some edge lit TV have 5xVertical and 2xHorizontal dimming, must produce awful halo effect though.
This one probably lights them all up at same brightness regardless. Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!
