I have a strange problem that appeared suddenly on my SHARP LC-60LE741E 60” LCD television. It has 22 evenly spaced horizontal grey stripes over the entire area of the screen. The stripes only effect dim areas of an image. Blacks are still purely black, and anything brighter than 40% is unaffected. Bright outdoor scenes are fabulous. Dark low contrast scenes ... like all CGI on Netflix are unbearable. It's like your looking through dirty venetian blinds. The grey bars appear above any slightly dark colors. If you look closely, you'll see that there are white pixels mixed in with the correct... -
This is only my seond post and so far i am very impressed with the forums.
I have a Sharp 50bj2ke which is 6 month out of gaurantee and has devoloped horizontal lines, i have tried to research as much as possible but i am no further is diagnosing the issue. When i turn the tv on it works good with only a thin line right at the top of the screen which i could live with but after a couple hours of use the lines start to appear in the middle of the screen and now the bottom.
The small white box thing in the pics is not the tv its a reflection from the window

I just started fixing 4k TV few months ago. so I am still learning a lot
I got this tv from friend complaint is ghosting or horizontal lines on image.
never saw the original symptom but I took the tv back home. the funny part is that after bringing to home, the tv worked fine no issue for 3 weeks.
then it started to show the ghosting white image.
I started using the tape method, but this tv does not have a T con board and it has only 1 ribbon cable from main board to the tv panel.

Just now my Samsung LC32HG70QQUXEN monitor gave up on me. On cold boots I get many vertical stripes going across the screen (see the attached picture). After it runs for 1-2 minutes those go away but there are horizontal stripes going across the whole screen no matter of the input and PCs I use. (couldn't take an picture of it since the image size goes to 20MB and the camera doesn't pick them up)
In a video about a 27" monitor with an similar issue the guy removes one resistor and supposedly the entire monitor goes back to life? For sure this fix is only temporary.... -
I have an old Geforce2 GTS that shows horizontal streaks in its VGA output, and bad colors. It basically shows gray where there should be white, and dark gray ghosting stripes across the screen from text in open windows. Also the color saturation seem wildly inconsistent. I attached a photo of how it looks.
Any ideas of what can be causing this? Damaged GPU? Or maybe some discrete components on the VGA output path that I can replace? I'm trying to figure out if it's worth attempting to fix this....
