Cello c32109f 32" lcd tv & dvd player

    Hi Everyone,

Im a newbie here, got the above TV for repair, symptoms:

    1) when switching on, the picture is ok for a few seconds or more, then it starts flashing on and off, with a slight narrow horizontal line sometimes, then the picture will just go.

    2) The backlight is ok as it remains on, I checked in a darkened room

    3) this is the same TV on this thread
    https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showth...=CELLO+C32109F

I can not see any bad caps, but will check again, I hear that caps can be bad even if they look good. Any help on pointing to which board is likely to be at fault would be fantastic, as don't want to go around replacing all the good caps on the wrong board.

Post good clear pictures = one of the set with the baqck off and one of each side of each board.

Perhaps before that remove clean and replace the LVDS cable and check all other cables are fitted securely.

        HI Guys,

Ok here are the pics of the back of the TV and both sides of the boards, took the LDVS off but looks as clean as a whistle, other connections were fine, can't see any bad looking things on the boards, replaced tree caps on the power board, just as thats the caps i had, got more caps now, so could replace the other 5 near them on the power board, just to be sure?
I did take the cables out of the little board at top of the back, not sure what that board is called, but after putting them back and trying it, the picture worked fine for a couple of hours, so maybe something around that area, that little board seems stuck down, but will try to prize it out to have a look underneath.

does sound like a bad capacitor issue to me try heating one board up at a time for roughly 3 to four minutes with a hair dryer if its bad caps the picture should appear good straight away i guess once you found the board that makes the difference try to locate the faulty part by blowing hot air on individual parts etc to narrow it down this is where a esr meter would come in handy.

This is a relatively new set check not still under gtee?
Does sound like caps -does it go off completely - what does the power led do.

Just to check - you are using good quality slow esr caps otherwise you might be replacing bad with almost as bad.
For this application we would recommend Panasonic FR FM or FC in that order.
(not all are available in all sizes)

How did you get on repairing this TV? I've been given the same one with exactly the same issue to try and repair. Were you successful Trev64?

Chances are due to the age of the thread the OP won't see this.

Best to start going through troubleshooting with yours, Give us pics of YOUR boards to start.
