A friend in Connecticut USA asked me for advice on the pictured symptom. I have done a topic search and found no threads regarding this brand and symptom. TV works normally except for the greenish blotch visible near right of center. I'm not currently there to troubleshoot. But I'd like to advise him (an aircraft engineer) on possible cause, and likelihood it is worth fixing.

I'm glad you find it amusing. Not my TV; I was visiting from out of state.
I had no control over the content displayed to demonstrate the issue described, an off-color kind of oval blotch on part of the screen.
I hope someone can make a serious attempt at answering the question.Last edited by steves7839; 12-05-2023, 09:53 PM.

It's quite amusing. Have him take a picture of a white background, they have them on YouTube, and then a red background and upload it. I can't see anything wrong with the picture at all.
Could be several things but I don't see any wrong with the picture because it's not circled and not clear. It looks like a normal TV pic with nothing wrong.
Discoloration could be a bad panel, and not fixable.
So get more dataComment

by kamiewtypeI have a customer machine on my bench right now that's stumped all the techs, so I decided to come here for help.
The specs are:
MPG Z590 Gaming Carbon Wi-Fi (MS-7D06)
Intel core i9-10900kf
2x16gb Corsair Vengeance kit
BIOS ver is E7D06IMS.1B0, from 6/12/2023
The machine was brought in because it would not POST after a GPU upgrade from a GTX 1030 to an RTX 3070. The customer also brought in the original GTX 1030, as well as a GTX 1060 that the machine also wouldn't POST with.
I tested the 1060 and 3070 on my bench (ASRock X570 Phantom Gaming... -
by edugimenoI have this TV set that I spent a long time fixing it.
I finally found a shorted SMD capacitor near the plug from the PS at the main board. It was shorting one of the main voltages (can't remember which one)
I removed that capacitor, and as it has another one in parallel, I left it with only one, checked it and it seemed to work fine. The solder near that capacitor was really delicate as I pulled apart one trace so I prefered to not mess much with it after I had to air solder one small thread of copper
I didn't use that TV much at that time. Now that I'm using it,...10-06-2023, 03:00 PM -

by edugimenoHi There!
I'm trying to help my friend who owns a restaurant be just bought.
He has a very long LED strip running along all the walls and columns. The strip is attached facing down 2in above the floor, using a wall panel that ends in a metal rail that finishes the panel underneath
It's stuck using, I guess, the 2 sided tape that comes with the strip
The issue is that like 1/2 of the full length, including 1/2 one wall, another entire wall, and one column, flickers after 4 or 5 minutes ON. Particularly it flashes staying OFF most of the time and flashing ON for 1 tenth... -
by amuse619Hello!
Looks like I fried something when my EDP cable got squeezed on the hinge. I replaced the cable but still no display. Laptop works fine with external monitor connected through HDMI and Display Port-USB C port. I took it apart and I see a burnt component. Can anyone help me identify what this component is? I tried to use schematics for another G15 but it does not match on the amount of pins and size. I attached pictures. The component has a label on it - (21A29)
