Got a broken TV from a friend. No picture(not glowing either), audio OK. Samsung Plasma TV EU model PS50C685, which is similar to US model PN50C680. Both Y-Main (LJ92-01683A) and Y-buffer (LJ92-01680A) boards at least are same in both models (according to shopjimmy.com). When I measured voltages all connected then Vs and Va both dropped to 0V and Logic board LED blinks on approx. to 5 sec and then off for 1 sec and again 5 sec/1sec... When flat cable is disconnected between Logic and Y-Main boards, voltages are OK and Logic LED blinks normally once in second. Took off Y-Main and there are two 30F123 transistors shorted (Pic. 1). Now my question is, if I replace those transistors or buy new Y-Main, what about Y-Buffer board? How to be sure it is OK or it will blow new Y-Main? Is there any way to make sure about buffer board at home with limited equipment (multimeter) that is it dead or alive? Budget is very limited, otherwise would replace both same time no questions asked. Any suggestions?
