I have an LG 42PT350 tv that i purchased for 40.00 The tv goes on standby and i can hear it click a couple of times, but it never powers on. I replaced the power supply and i still get the same results. I can hear a little humming on the sustain board and a couple of clicks, but no power at all on the tv.
I'm attaching some images. My y sustain board looks kinda cooked from the bottom side, and on top you can see dark like smoke residue on the heat sink. But, when i checked the board, i see no signs of anything popping, and when i run my finger on it, it doesn't stain. Not sure what that is. I checked a few diodes with my multimeter and at least 3 of them seem to be shorted since i get .600 on one side and when i reverse the leads instead of getting 0 or ol, i get .800 and up. Is this board repairable? or would be best to spend 48.00 on a replacement board i found on ebay?
Thank you.
