    Sanyo DP46470 won't stay on.

The TV powers on for 1.5 seconds and turns off after the Sanyo logo. After 3 times it doesn't turn on anymore until reset.

I've tested everything on the power board and it seems fine.
Does anyone have a clue what might be wrong?
I know its probably something on the main board, but I can't pinpoint it.

Pics of boards individually and one of entire back of set so we can see all the boards.

Also pic close up of any connectors from the PSU so we can read the silk print

Mystery 80s Sanyo cap - perhaps polymer?
          by cj_reha
Hey all I've been working on a 1984 Sanyo 27" color TV which had a smattering of bad caps in the video switching circuit. I found this oddball little 1uF 25V cap which looks to me like an early polymer, but I can't find concrete info proving it. I know Sanyo was a big player in early polymer cap development and this is the time period where they were just getting on the market, so I'm wondering if anyone has crusty old datasheets that could help identify it and determine if my suspicions are right? It has the same epoxy end seal and font/formatting as some old stock Os-Cons I've got laying...

Philips 42pfl6008s/12 red led comes on for a second and then goes away but 3.49v stay active
          by Malcolma172
I was trying to repair my tv wich previously had a blinking red led 2 times and it kept going. After shorting the sdm the blinking led changed 5 slow blinks and 3 fast ones wich in the service manual meant error 53 / the fusion chip.
After I heated the fusion chip with a hairdryer for 5 minutes it started working perfectly but after a day it stopped this time no led blinks even in sdm mode.
After probing the psu I have 3.49v and for 1 second I have at least 2 12.3v lines active the fusion chip gets warm in that second the led turns on and then the 12v lines start losing power...

          Sanyo DP5834 - Gray Screen
          by toddw65
          Hey All,

I have a Sanyo DP5834 that did have an issue with the backlights, but I disassembled the unit and repaired the LED strips by resoldering all of the connectors. Now I've reassembled it and I have backlights and sound, but a grayish screen. I can tap on the screen and see that it's on, but no picture. All voltages seem to be correct on the power board.

Based on the LCD Flat panel TV troubleshooting guide by Bud Martin, I'm thinking the T-Con has failed because I'm getting 12v both into and out of FP1 on the T-Con. Am I on the right track?

          Thanks,...

Topcat's Ultimate Pentium 4 Retro Gamer!
          by Topcat
I'll open this build with the comment that the Pentium 4 processor was probably my least-favorite CPU; even in Xeons. Netburst processors were hot-running and quite unimpressive performers considering the high clock speeds....but they were capable to a certain extent.....and are now entering the peculiar era of 'retro-ness'.

With that said; I was given THIS LITTLE JEWEL last Friday....a gaming rig built on the very CPU I liked the least....but there were some interesting things in it to say the least....and I really don't have a really good P4 retro gamer in my fleet....so....hmmm...yea...lets...

          Sanyo VHR-D4710G VCR no sound.
          by hugocarmo
          Hi again guys.
Today I have a problem with this Sanyo VCR.
I bought it online, It worked sometimes.
I recap the Power supply and it started working fine.
Image is perfect and all digital effects too.
All of a sudden it stopped outputting sound. I checked for dried solders an all boards and soldered when needed, no fix.
I have no sound on playback, on tuner, or aux in.
On symptom I noticed is when it was working fine, the HI-FI led was on when I power up the VCR, now is OFF, A-B leds are on but when I put a tape they go off.
On one of the sound processing...
