Flashing green light on Panasonic Viera TX-P42S30B

Hi I have a Panasonic viera tx-p42s30b TV where the power light flashes green about 6 times. I turn it on and you hear 2 clicks, it flashes about 6-7 times then another click and then nothing! I have checked capacitors and they seem fine so I was wondering if any one knew the problem?
    Thanks in advance

Does the light ever go solid green? Do you see any flickers from the screen? Any flashing red light?

      Hi tom66,
It only goes solid green when I hold onto the power button on the remote once I hear the first click apart from that no. It just flashes then you hear a click and then nothing

Can you provide pictures of the parts in the set?
Most likely you are dealing with an A board fault.

Re: Flashing green light on Panasonic Viera TX-P42S30B

I think these later models behave differently if they detect a short on the PSU on start up e.g. the Vsus line.

                  The U30 looks like it's similar to the S30, pages 25, 29-30

                  good luck

Hi, Thanks for that I am not sure what the manual is on about with it saying disconnect SS11 and things like that as I am new to all this TV fixing business.

SS11 etc will be written next to the connectors on the circuit boards.

Your symptoms are correlated with A board, just hoped I could see any obvious other faults.

                            Hi everyone.
I'm in the exactly the same boat with the same model.
OP did you get anywhere with yours?

I've searched around and found various manuals but not one will full flow charts for my model.
From the literature I've found I think the fault lies with the SN board but one document pointed me to the power board.

Anyone got a working one these as I've got a question regarding the relay clicks when tv is plugged into mains.

Panasonic Viera TX-L32E3B won't power up, green LED flashing

                              Hi,

I am attempting to repair a Panasonic Viera TX-L32E3B, chassis GLP26 for a friend.

There is no sound or picture. When switched on the green LED flashes rapidly about 44 times then goes solid. Pressing any button on the TV or remote causes the green LED to go out. The red LED never comes on.

My friend said that the TV recently started doing this and would sometimes work if powered off and on again. Now it doesn't work at all.

I carefully inspected the power board and there's no obvious damaged components or bad soldered joints. With...

Elitebooks (820, 840 etc. all gens) and those continuously flashing Power LED + flashing CapsLock LED
                              by STKR123
As the Elitebooks (820, 840 all gens) only show flashing Power LED and flashing CapsLock (continuously) + a very soft "ticking" noise near the DC Jack,
I wonder if re-flashing the BIOS might be of any use here.

As far as I understood, steady flashing either means insufficient power or a CPU/GPU/Motherboard issue. I use the original 65watt power supply.

There are so many threads out there, but most of the solutions involve flashing codes, which I dont have or claim that you MUST use the original power supply, do a hard reset, reseat the RAM, clean the RAM,...

I have a Dick Smith 37" LCD TV, Model GE6804. I am using it as PC extended monitor only.

Problem is while watching tv, I hear a semi loud click(like a electrical breaker tripping due to overload, just sound like it but no actual electrical overload), then screen is covered with green or pink. I can still see the original picture image but overlayed by green or pink. See attached images. Pink.jpg is what I see, and Normal.jpg is before green or pink screen, What I captured was pink screen, but about 80% of time it's green and 20% of time it's pink.

                              Then each time...

I've had a friend discard a TH-65DX700Z Pansonic Viera Television and I've decided to have a go at repairing it. If possible could I please get some advice in terms of diagnosing the problem so I can purchase the appropriate parts for repair whether it be components, a repair kit or a replacement board. I am happy to post pictures if required.
