I also could use help with a 747i-B11.

          R.I.P. Olevia 747-B11

It served us well for 11 years before a hiccough became permanent; the last gasp was asking us to choose our language but never responded to input and the next power on brought nothing.
As a tech with 50+ years experience, I should have checked power supply output but convinced it was at fault since the set died in steps that could well be caused by this, but instead bought a ‘pull’ out of Ontario, Olevia’s former home.
The replacement supply help nothing so I checked it’s outputs and then, reinstalled the original and belatedly checked it getting the same readings, my bad.

Since my wife and I are somewhat aged, I had hoped the set could be removed by our sons but with a replacement ordered and their busy schedule, I stripped the set of a lot of it’s weight and carried it out in chunks.

I went over the main kboard, found only one suspected fault, a shorted diode which proved to be OK with one end lifted.
I have a broad array of test equipment available but after searching, gave up when I could not find any schematic which would have helped since through two businesses, I have rescued several thousand pieces of gear, commercial and consumer, during my active years, probably 90% without any documentation at all.
This though, is populated with too many ICs some with custom or proprietary so further troubleshooting is fruitless.

The set’s mechanicals are all intact and the LCD screen is likely without flaws, but the speaker set, although not stellar, has been repurposed.

If anyone is of need of the leftovers and willing to pay shipping or pick it up in rural WV, reply with your wishes.
