Hello i have a un46d6050 with no pictures I've tried changing the t-con board the power board and the main boards all of which were purchased from ebay but still all i keep getting is sound and no picture just a blue screen

Check voltage on t-con fuse but it's quite likely as munirutech said that the panel is bad. Especially if it has ever been splashed with water. Try disconnecting one t-con ribbon at a time too.

Hello everyone,

I have a Samsung UN46D6050TFXZA TV that I purchased a while ago, and have not been able to fix it. I had mentioned the TV on this thread, but at that time I thought it was the mainboard, only to find out that it sells over $110. I decided to keep the TV and find a broken one so I can take the mainboard, and that's what happened this weekend. I purchased a broken screen model UN55D6000SFXZA and luckily the mainboard and t-con are the same.

The original problem of the UN46D6050TFXZA TV is that there is sound, but no video. You can see the tv flashes when you turn it on, and it flashes when you change channels, but no video. So I replaced the mainboard on the UN46D6050TFXZA (BN94-05038F) and used UN55D6000SFXZA (BN94-05038D) mainboard, problem persisted, sound but no video and the same symptoms described above. The mainboard is identical and on the internet it showed me the substitute parts and model was there.

Now, I replaced the original t-con on the UN46D6050TFXZA and used UN55D6000SFXZA t-con, and the SmartTV logo came up, but you were able to see that the brightness on it was dissapearing, like using for example a knob that you control the power from high to low. The SmartTV logo when from high to low, the sound came up, but could not see the channels. I replaced the mainboard that I was using from the UN55D6000SFXZA TV (BN94-05038D), and installed the original one (BN94-05038F), the problem persisted. I replaced the t-con I was using from the UN55D6000SFXZA TV and installed the original t-con that came with the UN46D6050TFXZA, problem persisted.

I have checked the power supply board (BN44-00423A (PD46A1_BSM)). The rectifier gave me correct readings. Inside pins 120VAC, outside pins 166VDC. Checked the 450v capacitor and it gave me 166VDC on standby, when I powered the TV it gave me a reading of 386VDC. The are two fuses on the board and they had continuity.

I do not have the TV with me, its a my dad's house cause that's where we were working on it, but the power supply is this one:
BN44-00423A

Anything else that I can do?

I'm suspecting it is the power supply.

make sure all your power supply voltages are proper at the connectors/cables going to the other boards, hopefully theres a legend by the connectors, careful when working with power supply, HIGH VOLTAGE on primary side.

Some of you are way better than me when it comes to electronics and testing. I was wondering if someone had the same issue or similar, or if someone can guide me what to test on the power supply, how and where. Not much how, but which pins to select and what readings I should get.

You are right. I'm careful when I do testing.

can you post some good clear pics., of each board and one of how they are all connected, this is an led tv, folks forget to put type of tv in initial post, it makes it tougher to have to google to find out what type it is.

Have a look at the LVDS signal with the oscilloscope. While checking the LVDS signal, press the menu button and turn the menu on and off on the tv. As you do that, the waveform on the oscilloscope changes. This way you know that your main board is working o.k. or not. The LVDS signal is quite low btw.

I do not have a oscilloscope.

I do have a question though. On the power supply board, there is a capacitor 223js1000v (CM813).

I purchased a board on ebay, and the board arrived without the capacitor . The board will be shipped back, so they can solder it, but in the meantime, I'm trying to find the same capacitor so I can ordered it.

I found this on ebay.

Is it the correct one? If its not, could someone please let me know where I can get it?
