Sony KDL-40W4500 panel problem?

Sony KDL-40W4500 with a picture problem. (see attached pictures)

Left part of picture having the lines "mirrored" from top to bottom, while the right part is next to problemfree, except for some brighter lines.
The normal question:
Is this a panelfailure? Or a T-con, mainboard failure?

So, a panel failure then? Not possible to repair?

BTW, it can be good after 15 minutes of operation.

Not impossible to fix, but the repair isn't always long lasting.
