getting 3.22 volts from bl-on pin from av board and 5.36 from bl-on pin from ps, both readings are with boards unplugged at cn303, which is the connector for bl-on, but with the connector plugged in it reads .18 volts, does anyone know what this means, THANKS.

Re: strange volt readings.
Try applying +5v from a bench psu to the bl-on input of the inverter and see what happens.
Before doing this, check the resistance from bl-on input of the inverter for any s/c .As you unplugged the whole connector, you may have inadvertently taken a floating voltage reading .

Re: strange volt readings.
"getting 3.22 volts from bl-on pin from av board and 5.36 from bl-on pin from ps" The BL_ON signal form main board is routed through the PS board for clean wiring, so the BL_ON output of the PS board should be the same at the input of the PS board, input into one connetor is directly connected to the output connector, same for the dimming control signal. To force BL_ON on the inverter board, you have to diconnect that line first otherwise the main board which is forcing that line low will not allow the BL_ON to swing HI due to BL_ON is stuck LO on the main board.Never stop learning

Re: strange volt readings.
Well we are here trying to help and you telling us what make model etc would be a start, but since you have an attitude like that get help from somewhere else
Any users of this forum should read the sticky and know to put this info in the thread title.
We can't help anyone without knowing what we are helping with, TBH I'm not in the mood for your arsey attitude. GoodnightLast edited by newtothis; 11-18-2013, 08:23 PM.Comment

by MisterAILHi everyone,
Brought a non functionnal PS5. Apparently only a bad PSU...
No beep, nothing.
After some tests i found this :
- PSU is fine (12 volts stable)
- 12 volts line is shorted
- DA9065 was fried, F7003 also => Replaced both of them, short is gone on 12 volts line, no dead short anywhere else.
- By the way, nothing change. No signal, no power, no beep.

- 12 volts, 5 volts, 2 volts, 1,15 volts are presents (suppose new DA9065 do is...5 Photos -
by sam_sam_samI saw this switching power supply on eBay and wanted to see if could be modified to run 14.5 volts before the blocking diode was add and this switching power supply seems to have no issues doing this
I did recap the switching power supply except the the main filtering capacitors and I managed to break the selector switch for the voltage setting but just jumped it
One note I used 25 volt capacitors on the output side of this power supply because they used 16 volt capacitors and because I am running the voltage up a little bit higher 12 volts to 14.5 volts there would... -
by EasyGoing1I don't know the first thing about where to even start looking for the result I'm looking for ... but what I want, is a circuit ... or maybe a certain transistor ... that will remain "closed" when the voltage at the base is 5 volts, but when that voltage gets to 4 volts or less, I need that transistor to turn on - preferably with maximum saturation. I would prefer that it also does not even turn on a little as the voltage approaches 4 volts, but remains closed until that voltage hits 4 volts.
Now, it would be OK if it had some kind of marginal transition from zero saturation... -
by qayyum786Dell 3521 la-9104p getting 5 volts on vin section instead of 19 volt
dell 3521 La-9104p getting 5 volts on VIN SECTION on the ACP ACN
But when i remove IO getting 19 volt on VIN ( ACP ACN )
what is the problem
Without IO 19 volt is ok

by Superbee_dadHello Sharp TV experts
Our Sharp LC-80LE642U displays one short one long flash error code which is a backlight error. I went into service mode and there were 8 lamp error counts recorded. I reset the count to 0 and did a reset. The last monitor error cause was 16 B00014639:12. 16 is the code for backlight error. I tried to power the tv up but went back into error mode.
