I have a 50" LG Plasma that the Ysus board EBR63039802 Went out in. The tv would just turn right back off when this board was installed. I do believe the Zsus board is what took out the Ysus board here 4 sure no question about it. So my question is does anyone know where to begin with diagnosing what component/s failed on this board an need to be replaced to make this board functional again ? I would really like to save this board seeing as how it's extremely hard to find this part and it's quite steep in price. nothing on the board itself looks fried or burned etc. any help is greatly appreciated and thanks for reading all.

What is the model# of the set?
The sustains on this set do not have schematics. Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

Re: LG 50" Ysus Board Zapped.. I want to rebuild EBR63039802
Model was Z50PJ240 originally with he ysus in it would just turn off immediately so I replaced the ysus board and it turned on but Zsus board was also bad and was throwing gray distortion and scanning and popped the replacement ysus board I just installed .it popped the replacement ysus board in a matter of under 1 minute. so I replaced the Zsus with another new ysus and all is good but I would like to fix the old ysus when I say popped I mean i heard a pop before it just shut the tv down. I'd really like to have this one fixed so I can buy another Zsus board and have a spare Zsus and Ysus board on hand should the TV go down on me in the future since this part is pretty hard to find and expensive I'm assuming because it fails commonly enough. Thanks if board numbers or anything else is of use let me know and I'll be glad to post them and thanks for helpingLast edited by Brentsky; 11-16-2013, 02:40 PM.Comment

The risk of repairing this board is if you want to test it and put the new board in the set, you could blow the working Z-sus, due to how the ER circuit chains across boards. Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

Re: LG 50" Ysus Board Zapped.. I want to rebuild EBR63039802
Depending on what needs to be done to repair the board I'd be willing to take that risk based on the fact that the Zsus board is readily available for around $20 a pop all day long and the Ysus boards are not and are around $100 a pop. I've been soldering on game consoles and pc's for years so I have a ton of experience soldering just not enough knowledge or experience in diagnosing. if you think this board is not worth repairing tom66 I will take your word for it and not attempt it because I know you are about the most knowledgeable person on these forums and you help people every day for no gain so I know you have no reason to lie about that. just let me know but if you think it could be fixed I would be willing to give it a go if you can pint me in the right direction. thanks again.Comment

OK, post clear/detailed photos of the Y-sustain board. I need to be able to read the small silk printing on the board, probably black in colour. Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?by Tynan DillI was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.
Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.
I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.
The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.
With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

by howardc64All left and right refers to looking from rear of TV (or looking from front with TV upside down)
- TV came with vertical bars and no image. Found faulty TVS on left buffer board. Also replaced T-Con (may have damaged the original while hot air removing components, board has slight warp) and have full image but few horizontal lines on the screen. Some of the lines appears to be 2 pixel tall while others are 1 pixel tall.
- Disconnecting left and right buffer board potentially reveals problems on both sides with different signals (unless this T-Con require jumper like Samsung FB_TRDY1&3) Fault

by HakuuHi There,
This TV was auto switching off after few seconds with some vertical lines on the screen, so got a new TCON board and replaced it.
After replacing the TCON board it was working fine and i set it up with everything, used for few hours, then had the bright idea to update the software on it. During the update process, TV switched off and now no audio or video. No relay switch sound.

by m1ch43lzmHi, this is my personal laptop, which the original board (lets call it Board A) blew up PU8700 (TPS51486), making a hole on the board, i had left the laptop at my desk one day with the battery fully charged and didn't touch it for a week, but when i tried to turn it on it didn't
