yes, can you see the chip LX9503 is it on the bottom or the top of the board?

Power board. We will focus on power board for now only, as the problem looks to be independent of the main board.

Yes LX6503. Please check pin 7 voltage, red probe on pin 7 black probe on chassis. It should be >2V continuously if backlight on.

That seems too low. Does it increase when the TV backlight works? You could solder a wire to that pin to make monitoring it easier.

i suppose i could always end it back if still not succesfull

hi guys
just a quick update replacement psu came today installed it still the same so changed the invertor i bought back to my old invertor and the tv seems fine at the moment

1hr and counting

If you checked ON/OFF and it's steady it wouldn't. Sounds like you have a thermal issue. Have you tried heating bits of board up and seeing if you can get it to fail?
