    KDL-46V3000 "Just a green light"

    Hi All,
I have a Bravia KDL-46V3000. 2/2008. For the last 9 months or so, when I turn on the TV all I get is a solid green light. Basically, doesn't turn on. (dark screen, no sound) I shut it off and back on a number of times and it will finally turn on. Other than a couple vertical lines (had for almost 3 years) the TV works perfectly fine. (but that's another issue) I started to just leave the tv on since it was so hard to turn on. A week ago, I accidently turned it off. It had been on for about 2 weeks. Prior to this, If I left it on, it was just for a day or two. It will not turn on anymore. I replaced the power supply board with no luck. I've checked all connections. Any ideas?
    Thanks in advance!

Apparently this isn't something that happens often? I've searched for the last few days and can't find anyone else with the same problem.

Could be bad caps on the power supply.

I replaced the power supply with a known good one. This is the only thing I've replaced. The caps look fine otherwise.

It's sounding like a typical Sony main board issue. They don't normally have many cap or PSU issues; mostly main board issues and panel issues (that's probably the other issue you're experiencing ). Did you try turning it on using the remote and by using the power button on the TV?

Yes, I've tried both ways. I did read somewhere that the main board kind of controls the second half of the power supply? Not knowing anything, The, main board was my next "guess" Thanks for the reply. I have heard a lot about the panel problem. I've put up with it for 3 years now. I'm use to it. It hasn't gotten much worse. The lines I have are right at the edge of the blacked out area when you don't have a full screen. So I don't see it all the time.

Well, so much for the "new" main board I bought off ebay. A cap fell off when I pulled the clearly "used" board out of the box. Now I'm responsible for the price of shipping it back. They said 10 available. Kind of makes you believe they're new. The way the cap was soldered on, I'm guessing it would be hard to reattach.

I got another "Main" board today off ebay. The TV works fine now!

Asus X453MA won't turn on and green led light blinking
                    by jxrepman
                    Hi there,

I have this ASUS X453MA Laptop that's not turning on. When I plug in the charger, the green light just keeps on blinking and pressing the power button does nothing.

I have checked the charger and it is giving 19+ V

I have disconnected the battery and pressed power button for 30 seconds.

                    I tried another RAM stick.

Tried disconnecting the keyboard and touchpad.

Tried disconnecting the HDD and the wifi adapter.

                    The problem persists.

Hope you could help me out on this one. Thank you.

Monitor Audio RSW12 - Green light, but no sound

                    Hi

Im hoping someone might be able to give me some idea of what may be wrong with my Monitor Audio RSW12 Sub.

Ive owned it since new in around 2002, so would really like to keep it running if I can, it was the first ‘decent' bit of audio equipment I ever purchased and is a little sentimental.

The issue I had was that it would power up with the red light, but sometimes the green light would not come on and I would get no bass from it. If the green light did come on though, I would get sound out of it.

I have already tried replacing all of the...

820-2610-A Sys onewire help, no green light. Please help from the gurus
                    by lcdcaps1
                    Hi

I have an 820-2610-A motherboard that has no green light.
I have noticed is when I do a SMC reset the light on the Magsafe blinks.
From My understanding, the sys onewire circuit is responsible for the green light on the magsafe
The sys onewire circuit on this model and others is more involved
I was hoping if anyone knows about this and how it works, can reply and let me know
I know this is an old model but I am sure there are people who still works on these or knows about them

I get 1.1v on the C7771 capacitor and will replace...
