Re: Insignia LCD TV NS-L32Q-10A screen blinking...

Are those (on) voltages when the set has gone into dark mode?
Have you got a known source dvd playing or pc input?
When it is dark can you see a very dark image on screen - perhaps with a flashlight
on the screen at an angle.
We are going to need pictures please post one of the back of the set and one of each board - must be clear in focus. Use manage attachments jpg less than 3mb
Please upload pictures using attachment function when ask for help on the repair

      1) Yes
      2) No, cannot choose an input source, nothing on screen
      3) Can't see anything.

when it says please wait how long is that displayed.
maybe it is searching for a source which is why I asked for one to be connected.
Did your friend say what might have happened - went off while on? didnt come on? Power surge? lightning?

It stays on for 2 seconds. I connected a DVD player and no change. He said turned it on, no picture but had sound.

              Does it still have sound?

On the inverter board test the secondary windings on each of the small transformers

No power to boards meter on ohms 2000

                no sound, OL on transformers.

I get no voltage at CN8802 (connector from power board) on the inverter board. What should it be?

Well that is jolly lucky for you - You see where is says DANGER high voltage
                  - It really means it.

You are either on the wrong pins on the small transformers or need a higher scale on the meter - is there a part number on the transformers
use it to look up the pinout.

                    DARFON 6518A 921115Z

I could not find any info on the transformers. I tried every pin combo only reading besides OL was 000.6 ohm on middle and 4 pin using a fluke 87.

                      by valvashon
For some reason I'm just not going to let this 19" TV defeat me. I guess because I have a schematic to work from I feel like I'm oh so close.

History- while adding a turn-on circuit I let a small screw roll under the power board. Worked through all of that circuitry, probably replacing a MOSFET and PWM controller that were not bad but I was following the service manual. Finally figured out that the power supply is in working order when the inverter section (for the backlights) is disconnected. When the +12 supply to the inverter is disconnected the +12 and +5 will come up...

Panasonic ZT60 plasma tv with strange behavior and 8 blink code
                      by cloo
I recently got my hands on a 60" Panasonic P60ZT60 plasma tv (european model) that has some strange issues along with an 8 blink code.
It know this tv is getting old but it was once considered one of the best plasmas ever made, and i think it is still holds on to that even by todays standards.

So, long story short. When i first got the tv it had a very bright washed out picture with very raised blacks in all picture modes and i couldn't find the cause in the picture setting menus.
After doing a factory reset this problem was gone and the picture was back to...

Un50cu7000 2 blink oddity *partially solved
                      by EazyBone
I write this to maybe help another with this TV.

So I aquired this TV a 2023 model. It started the 2 blink reboot problem which indicates bad panel. It was still under warranty and the repair man came by.

The Samsung repairman brought a brand new panel and switched my original boards to the new panel. The new panel then had the 2 blink error code. The repair guy said he has seen this and the MAIN board on this model will cause the 2 blink. He then replaced the main/power board (they are both connected) and put it back onto my original panel. Voila it worked.

Vizio E55-E1 bad backlights or bad inverter?
                      by x_orange90_x
I just got this tv today and it appeared to have no backlight on. After taking off the rear cover and checking again in the dark I can see that MAYBE one quadrant is lit.. But still it's quite dim. I was going to check the LEDs with my tester, and I found LED 1 and LED 2 + pins on the wire from the inverter, but I couldn't identify a ground. Nonetheless I tried using a mounting screw on the inverter board and also the chassis as ground but regardless my tester reads 300 which is what it reads when there is no voltage draw.

I don't know how exactly to test the inverter itself. Is it...

                      by Vebririon
                      Hi everyone,

I'm new here and trying to repair my Panasonic TX-P50V10E plasma TV, which is currently showing the 6 red blink error code.

Just for context: I'm used to building PCs and installing modchips in old consoles, but this is my first time trying to fix a TV. I'm French, and while my English is okay, I'm using ChatGPT to help translate and clarify my messages as much as possible — so please forgive any odd phrasing.

I'm also not very experienced with using a multimeter, but I'm very motivated and ready to follow instructions carefully and report...
