I thought you were asking what value resistor this was.

I'm not finding the short, I even tried the 33 ohm with power from CPU psu and ran it for a while as I freeze sprayed. Everything stayed frosty.

The only place it appeared to evaporate quicker was right under the processor as I sprayed some smt caps. Even tried taking them out and still nothing

Well I finally got that external power supply in.

Connected it from output of that regulator to ground.

Had to keep raising current before voltage started to rise. Peaked at 3.28A at 1.5V

The only thing that got warm to the touch was the heat sink on the processor. Some smt caps directly underneath were slightly warm too but they were ones I had removed prior to this going by the schematic which didn't cause a change.

      What do you think?

        3.3 * 1.5 = 5 watts. A lot of heat.
Something should be smoking, I suppose there's a chance it's the processor as that's about the only thing that could get so hot, but they cannot short 0 ohms AFAIK. Did you try freeze spray?

          AFAIK?

Yeah I used freeze spray and only the areas around the processor seemed to evaporate quickest. Lots of smt caps.

However in referring to the schematic I've noticed with LS04 and LS05 removed. Short is gone.

            Re: Dynex DX-32L150A11 Standby Blink

LS04 is connected to a pin on the processor labeled AVDD_33

LS05 is connected to a 390 ohm resistor (which measures fine off board) and that connects to a pin on the processor labeled AVDD_MPLL

Set won't turn on with both them lines disconnected (inductors removed) but I get steady standby light and voltages

Is there no cap across AVDD_33 to GND?
AFAIK = As far as I know

No just directly into a pin on the processor and correction LS05 goes into a point on the processor labeled AVDD_DVI

Can't just buy replacement processors for main boards right?

Probably not if they have a dedicated program, if not then maybe, swapping a 100+ pin chip may be difficult though.

Yeah I'll just shop around for a main board. Thanks for all your help and patience with this one. Even though couldn't directly fix it, it was a fun learning journey.

Panasonic ZT60 plasma tv with strange behavior and 8 blink code
                      by cloo
I recently got my hands on a 60" Panasonic P60ZT60 plasma tv (european model) that has some strange issues along with an 8 blink code.
It know this tv is getting old but it was once considered one of the best plasmas ever made, and i think it is still holds on to that even by todays standards.

So, long story short. When i first got the tv it had a very bright washed out picture with very raised blacks in all picture modes and i couldn't find the cause in the picture setting menus.
After doing a factory reset this problem was gone and the picture was back to...

Zombie Samsung UN55NU6900F dead / no standby voltage - randomly came to life after hours of troubleshooting then died
                      by tvguy12012012120
This is my first attempt at troubleshooting a board like this, I know I could just buy a new board but I'm curious to figure out how this works. I've been testing different components in the evenings this week and I think the problem is with the IC failing to start up for some reason. When the board is plugged in there is no standby voltage.

Then today it randomly sprung to life like a zombie but shortly died thereafter. I have no idea why it would have done that and its the first time I've seen it running. I discharged capacitors on the board last night, then it was sitting today....

Un50cu7000 2 blink oddity *partially solved
                      by EazyBone
I write this to maybe help another with this TV.

So I aquired this TV a 2023 model. It started the 2 blink reboot problem which indicates bad panel. It was still under warranty and the repair man came by.

The Samsung repairman brought a brand new panel and switched my original boards to the new panel. The new panel then had the 2 blink error code. The repair guy said he has seen this and the MAIN board on this model will cause the 2 blink. He then replaced the main/power board (they are both connected) and put it back onto my original panel. Voila it worked.

Vizio D50u-D1 Dead Set No Standby
                      by fharris1977
Hi. I got a Vizio with no power or standby, and won't turn on with remote or button. I checked the voltages on the connector and all read 0.00V or nearly 0(0.050 ON/OFF pin). None of the pins are labeled STB for standby although I do see some 5V pins. Other than the obvious standby led, which isn't coming on, is there a way to check for standby voltage on this PS. I'm trying to see if my problem is the PS or mainboard. Some Vizios I have fixed with no standby led me to think it was the PS but it turned out being the mainboard. Any experience with this set would be greatly appreciated.
