tom66 You were dead on. I pulled all the cables to that buffer board and re-seated them and it's up and running just perfect now.

Need help. I shipped the Y-SUS board EBR63039801 and USPS busted it during shipping. So I got it back and the board is cracked right where a resistor goes and the resistor is gone. I can't find a schematic for this board. Does anyone know what resistor goes in location R413 on the bottom of the board?Attached FilesComment

I got the board all back together and there was a lot of repairing. Now all I need to do is to add that resistor and it should be good to go. I covered it with liquid electric tape because some of those wires are so tiny just touching them will break them. After I install the resistor I will put another coat on.Attached FilesComment

I believe I might have found a good picture online and figured it out to say 150 on the top of the resistor. After extensive research I believe it means 15 ohms. I looked in my resistor container and the very first one I pulled out was brown, green, black, gold. I am going to use this.
So I have learned that the codes on resistors is almost exactly like the color codes. The numbers usually stand for the color. 0=Black, 1=Brown, 2=Red. So my code was 150 which is also Brown-Green-Black.Comment

hi guys, i need your help again...i have tcl u65x9006. while i was watching it become darker like when a movie ends, little by little the image disappear. now if i turn on i have back light on, after like 1 min i have also sound but no picuture. the back light is on i take off one at time the ldvs but nothing change always no picture. i tried to cover with a piece of paper the pin of ldvs i cover like 7 8 pins but nothing worked. the tv stay with no picture. there is a tcon board.i checked the voltage there on the fuse i have 11,8 volts. there is caps in shorts on the exit of the tcon i have... -

I replaced the backlights all good. Two months later set was dead, had a shorted D9100, replaced all good again.
Now months later set powers up,backlights light ok,no picture. 12volts missing from fuse on tcon. 12VA on power
supply is 19 volts. Changed D9100 again, same, 12 volts measures 19. Am I looking at a power supply or mainboard
issue. Set will power up with remote but not power off.... -
Hi, I'm unexperienced with troubleshooting and I'm not sure how to proceed with this laptop.
Motherboard is A5WAH LA-B991P I think, i5-5200U and nvidia 820m.
When I received the laptop, CMOS battery had 0V. I took it out and all the testing has been done without a CMOS battery and without the main battery plugged in, I haven't been able to see physical damage, burnt or missing components with a quick visual inspection, and no shorts were found.
Laptop charges the battery, powers on when ON button is pressed when powered from charger and when powered from the battery, but... -
Saved this beast from the landfill this weekend.
Manfactured July 2013 in Mexico.
I love working on plasma TVs.
Its been a while but I was lucky enough to find 2 this week.
The TV powers on and stays on but no picture. Havent checked for sound yet.
No bulging caps although the insides are pretty dusty and the boards are discolored from many years of high heat.
Will start troubleshooting tonight.
