    Pioneer PDP-433MXE

Found one local that didn't sell with a £60 tag.... The listing stated that the LED blinked red continuously.. after asking the seller for a better description of the flashing LED by giving them the format in which they blink it came back as error code 5 in RED... PSU fault.

£30 offer on the table for it... Worth it?

    Re: Pioneer PDP-433MXE

The thing is, how much will a working one sell for?
As always, be prepared to have to spend at least another £30 for a replacement board, So 30 + 30 + fuel costs, will it sell for 100???

I don't think this model has freeview or HDMI, USB nor is it HD Ready, isn't this what people are looking for??? And its around 10 years old.

Only component inputs and vga at best. And only 720p.
Did I leave the soldering iron on?

Yeah it's a good set (I believe sienoki had one until he upgraded to a PZ85 with bad 10blink cap) but you really need the media box with it for it to work proper.

A 42 inch 720p set, especially if a plasma, could easily go for £200 around here.

Would that be the media box there?

The media box is branded PIONEER. That could be a substitute or something else entirely...

this model (433MXE) has no media box as its a industrial model not consumer.
the R03 media box goes with the consumer screen which is a PDP-433PE.

Pioneer PL-X9 motor speed control wobble
                  by Bushcat
I'm starting to re-cap a Pioneer PL-X9 turntable, specifically the motor control board, because although everything tests out OK according to the service manual, the speed wavers slightly despite the quartz lock light remaining on. So, I've decided to re-cap that board since it's the cheapest next step...

Pioneer's passive component naming convention is clear to me. For example, CSZA R22M 35 is tantalum, radial leads, 0.22uF, 20%, 35V.

BUT there are two capacitors on the board which have actual Pioneer part numbers: PCL-042. I can tell they are 0.1uF, 16V but don't...

[Help Needed] Yatour YT-M06 (Pioneer 1) – Firmware or Schematic Request
                  by EduCabral
                  Hi everyone,

I'm currently working on reviving a Yatour YT-M06 CD Changer Emulator module for use with a Pioneer 1 interface (specifically with a DEH-P5950IB head unit).

While the unit is recognized as a CD changer, none of the USB, SD, or AUX features respond, which leads me to believe the firmware may be corrupted or incompatible.

                  🔧 Details:
                  • Model: YT-M06
                  • Interface: Pioneer 1
                  • MCU: Fujitsu MB89F202
                  • Goal: Find a valid .bin firmware file or memory dump from a working unit

I'm happy to attempt flashing, analyzing memory dumps, or doing hardware-level...

                  Sell or Shim Solar panels?
                  by eccerr0r
Well, due to my grid tie inverter not accepting high voltages, and the fact that the lions in my solar panels are 36V (72-cell) I think I need to stick with 72-cell.

However I have a few smaller panels that are 36, 32, and two 30-cell. The 36 and 32 together run at 75% efficiency (and subtract more with additional inefficiencies) when running in parallel with the 72-cell panels. The kicker is that the two 30s... generate 0% power when connected in parallel(!)

So now what to do with these small panels?

                  I could sell them...

                  Or I could shim them....

Pioneer Kuro Pro 111FD 8 red blink error

Pioneer Kuro Pro 111FD 8 blink red LED.

I have been trying to solve the power-down 8-blink red LED problem with my Pioneer.

So far I have replaced the power supply board, and the digital assembly board, I have reconnected the ribbons to all boards, ensuring the connections are good. Even though the problem is the 8 red light error and not the more common 8 blue light error code, I had Kcrownie,
based in North Carolina replace the chips that cause the 8 blue LED problem (the main board and audio board) the plasma is still powering...

                  Pioneer VSX-44 receiver HDMI dropouts
                  by RatherLoopy
I have an older Pioneer receiver (VSX-44) that's been dropping the HDMI output (black screen) for a few seconds every few minutes. Setup is HTPC -> Pioneer DVD HCMI in -> Pioneer HDMI out -> Samsung TV HDMI in, all with cheap HDMI cables that have never caused trouble before..

I initially found a lot of play in the receiver's HDMI inputs and output so I kind of squeezed them back into shape and they're making a tighter connection, but the problem persists.

And also, often, the HDMI will drop out in exactly the same way (black screen) just as my central air...
