White Screen on Emerson LC320EMXF 32" 720p HD LCD Television

Here is a couple of pictures. TV is on with white screen and stay white.
Please help.

No sound. Control buttons don't have any effect.

I had a monitor do this to me. It was the ribbon between the tcon and the signal processor boards dislodged.

If yo have no sound and white screen I would start with voltage checks and look into mainboard beind suspect

There's no t-con on this (built into panel) so possible causes

• loose ribbon as mentioned above
• bad LCD panel voltages (the PSU board generates the various voltages for the panel on these crap Funai sets)
• blown fuse on t-con panel board
• bad LCD panel

I was looking for loose ribbon first thing I opened cover. Can't find one.
Bad LCD should have sound.
That make either blown fuse on t-con panel (where is fuse?) or bad LCD panel voltages.
Tom, do you think change PSU board ($45 on ebay) can fix the problem?

It might fix the issue, but I'd like to figure out what's causing the exact fault first. Cannot find a schematic for the LC320EMXF though.

Can you post the panel model number? I can see the sticker on the top right but cannot read the numbers.

After you figure out exactly what's wrong with it you might want to consider replacing the filtering capacitors. They're probably all GP 85C caps

I found a working PSU board. It still gives white screen after exchanged the board.

LC320SLX Also has a white screen Mine is a sylv. model same inside different outside.
