I had this problem with the same tv. Turned out to be a panel issue.
Did I leave the soldering iron on?

I was afraid of that. This only happens once the TV warms up othewise the panel looks great. Were you able to fix this, freakaftr8?

Re: Panasonic TH 50PZ80U Transparent Vertical Bar-image

When the TH 50PZ80U TV warms up, a 3 inch transparent yellowish vertical bar appears in a fixed position from top to bottom on the right side of the screen. The bar overlays any video input including the TV’s menus. It first appeared with images that have white backgrounds. It now appears with any background. It may disappear for a while if I tap on the chassis. I have re-seated some of the ribbon cables with no effect on the bar. Has anyone else experienced this? The yellow bar appears over the C1 board. If the ribbon cable that aligns with the bar is removed, the bar is filled with static.Any suggestions on how to diagnose and solve this problem?

You could try some freeze spray on that bottom buffer to see if is heat related. You should be able to find a bottom buffer pretty cheap as they seem to be a rare failure. Though it does sound like it may be a panel problem.

I picked up a Panasonic NH-P70G2, though it would apply to the NH-P80G2, NH-P70G1 and NH-P80G1 models as well, as maybe some other models. This one was coming up with a H86 error. After lots of testing and googling it was an error with one of the thermistors in the condenser area.
The attached French service manuals is incorrect, TH11 is gray and is a 95k thermistor and TH12 is black and is a 35k thermistor.
In my case TH12 was bad. I was able to get a 35k thermistor on AliExpress. It's 6mm in diameter.
Unfortunately the whole machine has to come apart to fix it.

            (SOLVED) - Panasonic TH-50PZ80U - No HDMI
            by JDC
Issue: Panasonic TH-50PZ80U works fine but has no HDMI output.

            Easy solution: replace main board.
Advanced solution: replace HDMI chip on main board.

Unless you've got the time, tools and the hands of a surgeon, skip the advanced solution. For you beginners out there reading this, you would need to use a combination of a heat gun, flux, solder, and probably a microscope to succeed. If there is someplace you can send the board in for repair, you can go for that. From what I've read elsewhere, I don't think this TV will even do 720p.

Panasonic TC-P55ST50 8 blinks then no blinks
            by Andre Gilbert
Hello! yes I know there is already lots of information about this issue. I have a Panasonic TC-P55ST50 that originally displayed an 8-blink error code. Following the troubleshooting flowchart, I ended up replacing the SS board. However, even after replacing it, the issue persists. The TV turns on and stays on without displaying an image, and continuity is confirmed on all connectors. What am I missing here🤔?
Ok Im a mechanical engineer ...but I thought I was able to follow a rather simple flowchart for electric troubleshooting 😂.

Looking for Vertical IC for RCA Chassis CTC159L CRT
            by mopenstein
I'm working on my 27" RCA console TV built in 1990. It had some vertical rollover for a few months that went away after being powered on for a few minutes. I had been meaning to open it up and check it out but it had total vertical collapse before I could get to it.

Now that I have the time I opened it up and found a couple leaky capacitors around the vertical ic. So I figured the caps went bad and cooked the vertical IC.

I got the caps out and replacements on order. But when I took out the Vertical IC I saw that the chip numbers have been almost completely wiped...
