classic problem child that is now giving a code 4.
Here is the story ...
Was my parents, been sitting in the garage for 2 years. Once I finally got to it, it had the standard code 10 so ordered a cap/IC kit. As a quick check until it arrived I grabbed some regular long stem electrolytic caps from Frys and stuck 'em on the 201 & 301. It started right up. But to test, I left it on over night. In the morning it was off with a code 4. Nearly everything I find on these TV's is the 2/10, almost nothing on a 4 other than it is also P related. My question then, is the standard cap/IC repair related to a 4? If not what other direction do I go with this, or is it even worth it at this point?
