Vizio GV47LFHDTV20A Flashing Picture and Lines on Screen Fix

Flashing, choppy picture when source is connected

And flashing lines on the screen when no source is detected.

This one turned out to be an easy fix. I suspected typical bad voltage regulators but didn't find any that measured out of spec. After the regulators checked out, I started checking voltages from the PSU. As I stuck my probe in to check the 5V leg of the PSU, I bumped the LVDS cable and the picture cleared right up. I wiggled the cable and the picture cut in and out as I wiggled. I unplugged the cable from the T-Con and used a folded piece of paper in the female connector on the board and on the pins of the male connector on the cable to remove any dirt or oxidation. I plugged it back in and was unable to get the picture to cut out when I wiggled the cable.

    Another one saved.

Awesome! Just had the same kind of fix on one of mine. I'm wondering if hot glue on the cable/connector would help this from recurring.
