Default Philips 40" Class LCD 1080p 240Hz HDTV, 40PFL5505D/F7 no power, no indicator

I have used three separate power supply cards, all three don't fix the problem.
So the question is, what would cause my tv from not turning on and having no indicator light if it isn't the power supply?
    Thanks

Main board. You can check the power supply to rule it out.

From what iv read the power supply sends voltage to the main board, through a voltage regulator, then to the ir board and power volume keys, then after you hit the power button, the main board will send voltage back to the power supply telling it to turn on. You should have a standby voltage on the power supply as soon as you plug it in, with the other voltages off. Maybe check the voltage regulators of the main board. Im no expert but im trying to learn how these things work.

        Hello forum,

I'm still relatively new to the world of electrical repairs.

I have a Macbook here that I can't figure out

When the battery is gone, the USB input consumption goes up to 20 V and 0.06A. But it breaks down after about 2-3 seconds and you can also hear a small ticking on the logic board. But I can't pinpoint it exactly.

I removed the logic board and took a few measurements.

But I can't really figure it out.

At first I thought the infamous CD chip was defective - but then of course you read more on the internet...

What 'class' is this Hill Audio DX3000 Amplifier?
        by dicky96
Hi guys, this is general query really

So I have a Hill DX3000 3KW audio amplifier here.

It has a topology/design like a class A/B but all the banks of output transistors (10 transistors in each 'side' of the channel) are NPN.

I was wondering what class this is. It doesn't fit the description of class A.
It also doesn't match class A/B or B amplifiers as all the examples I see have a complimentary output stage desigs (NPN/PNP) and clearly is not G, H or D

I looked for 'class A push pull' but that didn't tell me anything either

Certain "Class 2" HDMI cables can be marginal at 4K 60 Hz
        by japlytic
For some time, a "Class 2" HDMI cable (part number BN39-01583B) supplied with a Samsung 4K 60 Hz display sometimes causes the display to overlay a few horizontal lines of flickering pixels of random colours and sometimes drops out, particularly on content requring HDCP.
Since changing the cable to a thicker Class 2 unit, this problem has not occured again - do you know of other marginal "Class 2" HDMI cables supplied with displays?

        RIFA Class Y Capacitor remedy
        by presario425
        Hi all!
I have a piece of gear with a Power-one SPL130 power supply in it. On the primary side, there is a very tiny (about the size of your thumb nail) RIFA Class Y capacitor, 2.2 nF. I'm not too sure about the condition (whether or not it's cracking) but I do know that it's there.

I'm aggregating information as to how I should remedy this. It hasn't exploded yet, but that's what I'm trying to avoid.

I've never seen a RIFA class Y safety cap self destruct (or at least it hasn't been documented in the past). However, it's not worth the risk to leave it in there....
