Philips 42PF7320A/37 powers on but no video/picture

so i picked this up last night
this thing is a monster compared to tv's now

i plug it in you can hear the relays clicking and the green power led comes on
i push the power button on you hear more clicks from the relay then it powers off and the red standby led comes on in the front and blinks 7 times

so i remove the rear cover and i was like "wtf!" after i seen how big the psu is and all the wiring. it was like capacitor city in there. i thought to myself what did i get myself into this should be fun.

i noticed this is a Samsung tv since every board and the panel has a Samsung label on it

anyways so first thing i look for any bulging/leaking caps
after 20 minutes of searching i finally found 1 blown cap on the ymain board
i was like cool this should fix the problem but of course it did not.
i replaced the cap reinstalled the ymain and still no video
    tv still has same issue

green led in front comes on
green leds on logic borad come on then off
another green led on a tiny board blinks 3 times

i checked all 8 fuses (wtf moment) on the ymain
all fuses on ymain are good

checked all 5 fuses on psu then found 4 more (another wtf moment)
wasnt able to check all fuses on psu because the other 4 are surface mount and i need to take the board out

so now i moved on to check voltages
but before i check i decided to unplug the connector to the ymain since that is where i found the blown cap

after i unplugged ymain i plugged power back on and now the psu stays on
you can hear the transformer on leds stay on
so im guessing all the fuses are good on psu?

i am guessing there might be a defective component on the ymain or y buffer boards?

here are the voltages after i disconnected the ymain

    Va:70.3
    Vsc: -190.1
    Vs: 203
    Ve: 84.1
    Vset: 194.7
    D5V: 5.2
    Vg: 15.06
    +12v: 12.19
    Vtun: 87.3 and drops
    5V2: 5.19
    5v_Sw: 5.16
    8v6: 8.72

i guess i have to check the mosfets on the yamin
    any other suggestions?

I'd replace that cap on the Y-main. The Y-main rarely fails on these, it's usually the buffer, so try without that. However, the bad cap may have caused Y-main fault.

          i did replace the cap
it still had the same problem

if i disconnect the buffer connector from the psu do you think the panel will turn on?

or should i separate the buffer board from ymain then power it on?

I wouldn't expect any light from the TV with the buffer removed.
Unless it has two buffers in which case one or the other may be removed.

              it does have 2 buffers

should i only remove one and power it on to see what happens?

                Yeah, try that.
The buffer must be completely removed from the set and disconnected from the other buffer.

I Picked Up A TV Off A Friend And He Was Throwing It Away Because It Was Not Working. I Took It Hoping I Could Fix It Because One Of My Family Members Stole My New Led Smart TV And Sold It And I Have Lost My Job And Have No Income At The Moment. I Could Really Use The Help To Fix This. At First I Couldn't Get The TV To Turn On. I Find A Couple Of Capacitors That Looked Bad And Changed Them But I Don't Think That Was The Issue. When I Would Plug The TV In I Couldn't Hear Any Relays Click Or Anything. It Did Nothing But Blink The Led On The Bottom Left Corner Red,Green,Red,Green Etc.. The Green Led On The Inside Main Power Supply Board Was On Also. After Changing The Capacitors I Was Connecting The TV Back Up To Test It Out And My Dumb Self Missed A PlugThat Leads From The Main power Board To The AV Connections On The Bottom Of The TV. I Plugged In The TV And The Relays Clicked And When I Pressed The Power button On The Remote The TV Came On With A Perfect Pictur Just No Sound. I Connected A DVD Player To It And It Played The DVD Perfect. after Having No Sound I looked Around To See If I Missed A Plug Or Something And Sure Enough I Found That Plug I Previously Mentioned. I Plugged It Back In And Immediately The TV Shut Down Into Protect Mode. So I Unplugged It Again And Sure Enough The TV Came Back To Life But Then After Messing With It A Couple Times Trying To Figure Out What That Plug Did The TV Now Will Only Click The Relays With No Picture Still No Sound And The Led On The Front Turns Green At First Like Normal But Then Starts Blinking Red three Times Fast And Then Five times Slow. I Know This is Allot And I'm Sorry. I'm In Such A Bad Spot And Need Help. Thank You For Your Time.

Philips 47PFL4606 Powers on, works normal then powers off after a minute
                    by simwalsh
                    Hi,
I am new to this forum and have searched for some answers with problems similar to mine.
Philips TV powers on as normal for about a minute or less then click and no power at all not even standby light. If i disconnect from mains and reconnect it will power on again but for a shorter time. Once i leave it disconnected from main for a longer time it will power on for a longer period the next time.

It sounds like a power supply issue?

I have the board out and want to run some tests. Not sure what i should be doing but i put a 1k resistor across SB and +5v...

Philips 65PUS6554/12 - only powers on if you prime backlights first
                    by djmka
                    Hi everyone.
I have a problem that I would appreciate some expert advice on.
I have a 65ā€ Philips television which powers on, has sound but but no picture. Usually this would lead me to believe an open circuit was present on the backlights. However, if I disconnect the mains power cable to the television and test the power cable going to the backlights using a LED tester, no open circuits are present. If I reconnect the backlight cable to the power board and replace the mains power cord to the tv the device fires up perfectly and displays a beautiful picture. It's almost as though...

HH Scott Model A510 Stereo Integrated Amplifier/ Graphic EQ - Blowing fuses in the LEFT speaker channel only. Any Help???
                    by Sik_6ty_Sixx
So like the title says, I have an old Stereo Receiver/Amplifier that I picked up from the goodwill, it's a HH Scott Model A510. When I first got it home it had zero output. Opened it up, notice the fuses are missing. Pop in 2 new fuses (AGC4A 250V) and try again, within 5 seconds the L channel fuse POP! I don't see any visible indications of damage or arc burns on the PCB, no popped resistors or diodes, no burnt traces or blown out caps. So I decide to just try another new fuse, POP. Swapped around my R and L speaker wires, and checked the integrity of all wires and connections. Everything looks...

How an incandescent light and a ESR meter ** friend**have a machine blowing fuses
                    by sam_sam_sam
About a month ago we had a transformer jumper wire that burned in two different places between two transformers caused over $200 thousand dollars worth of damage to VFD drives at least 10 of them and a memory card and quite a few power supply as well

Now we have most of the equipment that got damaged back up and running except a feeder that has issues and we are waiting for some parts for

Now we also have another piece of equipment that was blowing fuses on the 110 volt controller switch circuit with the ā€œEā€ stops and one switching power (24 volt) supply and a transformer...
