    Phillips 32PFL5322D/37

So Ive had this one sitting in the garage for a bit, supposed to be fixing it for my dad. It presents with a blue led followed by 6 red blinks, according to the service manual it is a 5v rail failure. Now here is the interesting part, with a 330k resistor soldered into pin 11 (ps on) I get good ps readings as well as steady backlight with the ssb unplugged. It disappears when I plug in the ssb. Then I tried unplugging the tv and replugging with the ps on jumper in place and the tv works fine, can be shut off and turned back on even without the jumper in place until it is unplugged again, then it goes back to 6 blinks. Shop jimmy doesn't have any boards in stock and even if they did they want 100$ plus for a main board. Any ideas what on the main board could cause this? This unit has a chip designated viper that takes care of protection, I am guessing that the 5v isn't making it to the chip, but somehow does when the power supply is engaged.

In the service menu you can see error code history. Have you tried that?

On the back of the set with the 32PFL5322D/37 model number there should be a chassis code for example L593.D AA, what does yours say? May be in a box marked "S" or "Chassis". This can be used to get extra service info.

set says Ej3.OU LA From July 2007, I have not tried the error code history, I ended up soldering in a switch in one of the vents so I can plug it in with the power supply forced on then disconnect the resistor. Out of time for the weekend, working on putting in a new fuel pump in my truck and the work around seems to be effective for now. I will try out the service menu when I get some more time. Thanks for the info Tom

Dell Optiplex 5050 SFF - strange behavior and service_mode jumper not working anymore
        by MMH3
        Hello,

i have many 5050sff. all of them, and how i experienced over many years for all about 250 DELLs goin through my hands, are fully flashable and can be serviced in any way when the service_mode jumper is set.
Never ever i experienced problems with that.

Now i have one 5050sff machine, where this jumper isnt working at all.
I do not get the normal messge that the jumper is set when booting and a short test with FPT just confirms this. Everything is locked -->> EVEN for reading !?

The history of the machine is that i used it in my office...

HP EliteDesk 805 G8 "PSWD" Jumper
        by blankdisplay
        Hello,

Apologies, I broke a rule and hijacked a thread, so I deleted that post.
I am curious if anyone here owns the G8 or has good quality board shots?

I've done some googling and curious if the 805 G8 series has some kind of jumper?!

The 800, G3 series, much older, the maintenance and service guide, clearly talks about a PSWD jumper

I also believe it's just visible in this shot:

Hi I need help with a Samsung un43nu7100 BN94-13191C/BN41-02635A with boot loop problem even with tcon jumper.
I've already try tape method and same happen, if I disconnect both flex from mainboard to panel tv boots normal even I hear Samsung sound.
When I solder jumper to make t-con work with or without panel or panel cables connected it still reboot or power cycling.
What I noticed is that there's no voltage in VHG, HAVDD, PANEL_3.3V, AVDD_17V or 12v near dc-dc chip.
I check capacitors and diodes and didn't find any short IN MAINBOARD.
        Measured all power supply...

ASUS X54H laptop thinks it's always charging even with charger unplugged
        by flat-earther
The charging indicator light on my ASUS X54H laptop is always on even when the charger is disconnected.

Windows also shows ''Plugged in'' when charger is not connected.

This problem started year ago gradually, when unplugging the charger the charging light took several seconds to disappear, then minutes, and now almost always on even when unplugged for an entire day.
Strangely, before sometimes immediately when plugging in the charger the charging light went away, and later came back with it connected.
If I let battery run out and say it has 3% Windows will...

        Jumper EZBook x7 bios
        by Sequigny
        Hello everybody

I have a Jumper EZBook x7 with no picture, caps lock no working. The laptop starts, the CPU gets warm, after a while the fan starts spinning but nothing on the screen. Current consumption is stable, about 1 amp. I can't see any short on the motherboard (CPU resistance very low but mosfets seem OK).
I suspect a bios issue (or a problem with the onboard RAM), but can' find any bios for this model. I already try to clean the ME Region, but without any success. If someone has this laptop, can he please share the bios? Please find attached the dump of my original...
