Bad... a MOSFET should show no shorts between pins, and only a diode drop between two pins.

        Re: Baird x32dtv

a small update managed to borrow mates esr meter tested all 19 caps on psu at least nine need changing plus the primary cap also whilst board i was testing the surface mount components on the board and have found r143 r141 j7 all open circuit so imo this board maybe beyond economical repair so i have made a offer on a megmeet mlt668 as in the link i have posted i have won the bid for £10.00 posted for it and it does have free return if faulty so thats good so i may need some help with the pin outs etc. a question as the old board uses the 16.5 voltage the megmeet does not have that can i drop one pf the spare megmeet 24 volts down to 16.5 volts easily? cheers guys

          Re: Baird x32dtv

You can't drop the 24V to 16.5V easily, you'll have to use 12V and live with poorer sound quality.

                Re: Baird x32dtv

Is there a pin marked STBY or REMOTE? A listing of all pins you are trying to translate would help.

The PSON pin = STB pin.

tom thanks for you advice tv works great with the mlt668 even the psu all four screw mountings lined up no problems a question should this be freeview? does have dvb tuner board in but could it be analogue not digital as keeps saying no signal even with good aeriel in.

What does the DVB tuner board look like?
Done a complete reset & retune?

                                DVB-T is digital freeview.
Does the set have a PCIMIA slot? For CI card?
Maybe you are on "analogue" mode and need to switch to digital... on some sets this is only possible with the remote control.

It may not be compatible with current Freeview, there was a change a few years back which broke some older boxes/TVs (NTT switchover I believe.)
