hello all i have a problem with a phillips 42pf9766/99 plasma with a chassis model ftp2.2a aa About a month ago we heard the odd crack from behind the set then the other day the sound went off shortly followed by the picture. Now when i try to switch on the power switch i get a blue light for a couple of seconds then a flash on the red led and set shuts down .When turned on the 3 green caps on the board all light up for a few seconds but the top 2 go out after the red flashes leaving the lower one on .. My first thought was bad caps in the power supply but after a visual check i dont know all look in new condition no bulging or leakage hoping someone can steer me in the right direction cheers shayn

Re: phillips 42pf9766/99 plasma
It would be very helpful if you could post some pictures of the boards inside your set so we can see what there is inside, who made the plasma panel and how it is all connected. Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

Where are the "three green caps" you say light up? Can you highlight them on the image? Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

Re: phillips 42pf9766/99 plasma
hello all i said in my original post that 3 green caps lit up i ment to say 3 green leds lit up you can see them on the left of the ac input and fuse, the transfomer on the left of the board looks as it may have been hot at some time
but as yet i have not located a circuit schematics so i cant measure it.cheers ShaynComment

Re: phillips 42pf9766/99 plasma
Do the indicators have labels near them?
Can you see a part code starting with BN44, BN9x or LJ9x on the board? I may be able to locate schematics. Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

Is there an extra digit in the LJ44 number they usually have five digits plus letter. Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

Re: phillips 42pf9766/99 plasma
Can you post a picture of the model # sticker (on rear of TV case) so I can find the chassis number. Ohm Supplies sell the power supply for £40 plus VAT. http://www.ohmsupplies.co.uk/POWER-SUPPLY-LJ44-00058APlease do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Re: phillips 42pf9766/99 plasma
update on phillips 42pf9766/99 plasma checked voltage on psu board
my voltage silk screen
vs 7.1 175v dc
va 71.5 70v dc
ve 2.6 160 dc
vset -0 173v dc
vscan 0 60 vdc
d5vl 5.2 5.2 vdc
d3v3 3.5 3.3vdc
vcc 15 .07 15dvc
5v2 5.2 5.4vdc
pfc 372 370 to 400 vdc
vccs 102 18vvdc
with that voltage difference do you think that it could be a transformer fault ke0447a seemed to have been hot at one stage and has a slight browing but without a shematic for the board i am a bit in the dark any suggestions woul be great cheers himinshedComment

Re: phillips 42pf9766/99 plasma
hello tom thanks for the link i have downloaded the magnavox manual will study it in the morning as there is no voltage on vset or vscan and only 7.1 on vs why the huge over volts on vccs.. 102 instead of 18 is making me rethink my v3t 8005 transformer idea ..cheers himinshedComment

Re: phillips 42pf9766/99 plasma
hello all considering that the voltage on my psu is up the put eg: 71.1 volts on VS instead of175v & 0volts on vset &v scan with 102volts on the vccs instead of 18v do you think a new psu would correct my no start problem cheers himinshedComment

Re: phillips 42pf9766/99 plasma
I would first try isolating the Y-main and X-main to see if the voltages return to normal. Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

Re: phillips 42pf9766/99 plasma
hello tom by the way thanks very much for all your paitence and help .. yes i disconected x-main & y-main no change in the voltage on
vset 0 volts vscan 0 volts vccs should be 18vdc but is still102volts dc .. could it still be a transformer on the psu looking forward to your comment cheers shaynComment

by zklgfsHi,
I have an Anker SoundCore 2 (A3105) that I saved from the trash (well, I guess there's a reason why it was supposed to go into the trash...). The problem is that it always turns off after a few seconds (sometimes it stays on a bit longer, between 30 and 60 seconds, but it still turns off). The power light turns on and the bluetooth light starts blinking, but both abruptly turn off again. The "turn off sound" is still played after the lights turn off. Sometimes, it also loops the on-off cycle several times without me pressing any buttons. If I connect an AUX cable, music...-

by twonk9098Hi all,
I have a Lenovo Legion 5 with a Ryzen 7 series CPU and RTX 3070 GPU. My issue is that it turns on and all seems fine except after a few seconds the fans spin up high and the laptop turns off after 34 seconds.
I can get into bios and can even boot and login to Windows however after 34 seconds no matter if Im at the bios screen or booted into Windows it will just turn off.
I have managed to run HWmonitor and the temperatures of the CPU and GPU are fine, I can also touch the heatsync which is warm but not hot.
I have tried a few new bios but exactly... -
by liquidzorchHello. I bought a faulty Lenovo ideapad 3, but it turns out the 3Valw buck converter burnt a hole through the board. I was able to clean it up, and remove all the shorts. I now can power the 3.3v rails from a bench power suppy while connecting the laptop to its psu, and I get the additional 5valw, 1.8v, and 1.05v, form what I can tell in the schematics, those are the only 4 voltages I should see before turning on, and they are present. When I hit the power button, the power indicator on the left side turns on (not the one on the power button), stays on for about 12 seconds, then turns off for...

by Uranium-235Customer said if he keeps it on for a long time, turns it off, and later back on, it takes 10 minutes to get to proper brightness. Is this just a cap issue? I didn't have time to take it apart I was just there to drop a repaired laptop off

by Rick_1234Good evening, gentlemen.
I have a problem with my monitor. It turns off after a few seconds or flickers. Shining a flashlight on the screen doesn't show any image, so I guess it's not the "2 seconds to dark" I read in the forum.
To turn it back on, I have to press the power button twice. Then after a few seconds it turns off again or flickers. See video.
