i have replaced both buffer boards.still have snowy picture and no sound .logic board has 5 ligts on it and only the single light and the top and bottom lights in the row of 4. any idea

Can you show us a picture of the fault?
The logic board LEDs are correct. They indicate temperature of plasma panel in binary. All lit is bad, otherwise they are OK.

i had to find my camera. when i turned tv on the problem changed. i have a vertical line 6 to 8 inches wide. also 10 blinks on power light when shut down. thanks

Y sustain board. That bluish stripe with the white stripes in it is your no signal box.

my mistake cable from new board not plugged in all the way. now i have great picture but no input . i tried pushing button on the side but nothing happens . also the menu button does not work. i dont have remote

I would suspect main board then.

Check your main board and keyboard connectors to make sure everything is properly seated. Do your volume up, volume down, or other buttons work?

I've worked on two of these now and both had bad buttons on the side. Had to press very hard for some to work and others wouldn't work at all. Seems like possible a common problem. Remote worked fine though.

That's where I was going, also. The keyboard probably has some corrosion or is just bad.

Yep. Both of the ones I delt with had not visible damage. Just unresponsive and/or very hard to push.

Or, if you have one most cable and satellite receivers have a programmable remote so you can at least test first. Also, try pressing the buttons very hard. And by hard I'm not kidding. Most of them worked on the two sets I'm referring to but I had to press them so hard I thought they might break.

something new finally stood tv up and i have 2 line horizontaly on screen one tin line right in middle of screen and 1 quarter inch line 4 inches from bottom both lines are black

Could be one or more of the ribbon cables not seated well into one of the buffer boards. I had to try a few times on the last one I did. You should be able to guess which ribbon it is based on the location of the line(s).

cleaned all ribons on buffer boards works perfect also for some reason the buttons on side work too go figure thanks for all the help

back again tv works fine for 2 days now starts up and shuts down in 10 seconds. any ideas

These Vizios will shut down after about 10 seconds with no video. Does it do it if you have a signal?
