I have a 46" Hisense LTDN46V86US that seems to have power, but will not turn on out of standby. I have checked the power supply and the fuse is good, the voltages are correct on all the connectors and the capacitors are not burnt or deformed. The motherboard, IR board, the board for the control buttons, the speakers, and the other two boards for the screen have power. I have exhausted my electronic knowledge and need help. If i were to guess i would think it's the motherboard because it is hard to believe both the buttons and the IR quit working and the power supply is putting out correct voltages on the 3v,5v,12v,14v, and 24v connectors. If I've described anything wrong or done anything wrong thus far please let me know, this is the first TV I've ever taken apart.

After looking around for a while I've found that a bad EEPROM seems to cause the same symptoms I am having. Would this be a possibility? If so is it easily changed or would it require another motherboard?Comment

From this, it is telling me that the main board has stuck on PS_ON signal which turns on the power supply for the 12v/14v/24V, the PS_ON should only present when the power switch is activated and goes away when the power switch is turn off. So more likely you do have main board problem. At the same time you need to see if the BL_ON (or Inv_on/off, or on/off) signal is present on the inverter board, this signal is generated by the main board to turn on the backlights. Not sure about EEPROM, you may be able to get it from shojimmy.Never stop learning

Then there was another plug that had 2 grounds and 2 14V pluggs and they had 16 volts on them and the speakers had power too. and the 24V wires for what I assume is the back light had about 24 volts on them. Is that what you were asking for?Comment

Hi i have this same model tv however opening the panel, the inside looks nothing like the above pics. I only see 2 boards. I have replaced the power board as the only 2 boards visible are the main board and power board. When i turn the tv on i see the Hisense logo light up nice like its going to work then nothing.
NO picture
NO backlights
YES i have sound
Flashlight test reveals images when shined on the screen.
The only other possibility i see is a board at the top of the tv that the main board seems to be connected to. However i do not see a way to access that board
I don't know what to do please help.

'Flashlight test reveals images when shined on the screen. ' That means the integrated T-CON board (the board on top of the panel) with LCD panel is working. You have backlights or backlights circuit problem.
We need really GOOD CLEAR pictures of the whole backside of the TV showing all the board and then the pictures of the power supply board, or the power supply board is not getting the BL-ON signal from the main board to turn on the backlights circuit.Last edited by budm; 02-24-2016, 10:04 PM.Never stop learning

OK, then, you need to check the DCV on the connector XP802 'SW' which is the same as BL-ON to make sure the main board is sending the Backlights ON command to turn on the backlights driver circuits when TV is turned on..
The really bad thing about this TV is that the driver board is INSIDE the LCD panel!

Hi guys, I’m back here my friend give me her tv, that doesn’t turn on and no standby red led. When u plug in the cord the red led of one two second is on, then turn off. If you push the power button or the remote the red led blinks but nothing happen. I give u some photo with voltage, don’t look the fuse….because I blow it for mistake nd I dint have the right replace so I just put it for test the tv. The standby voltage should be 11,88 volt on the diode, but I have 13 volts. I put in the photo the different volts I test and there are someone negative…I don’t know if it s normal. On... -

I've taken the back cover off and there is only 1 board. I unplugged the LED wire and connected it to a backlight tester, resulting in the backlights turning on and the tester reading 60V. This tells me that the backlights are OK. I then cooled the EEPROM (UF1) with canned air, but the TV still only has a solid standby light and will not turn on. Other than the EEPROM, is there a "common" component that fails on these single board TVs? It looks like many of the budget brands use the single board approach (many using the same board, # TP.MS3393.PB851, but I am sure with different EEPROMs).... -
Hello, i have some issues with my laptop Lenovo Y700-17ISK (motherboard BY511 NM-A541), it started when i turn on the laptop, but the lcd wont turn on, i then connected it via hdmi to tv and screen was ok. So i thought maybe lcd stripe is faulty, i removed the bottom cover, disconnected main battery, reset the cmos by disconnecting battery for 1 min, then slighty move the lcd stripe. Conncted power supply and tuned on my laptop, the lcd turn on, it started to load os, then it turn off, after a second it turn on, then after like 3 seconds turn off again, and so on.
