HISENSE LTDN46V86US Standby led comes on but will not turn on

I have a 46" Hisense LTDN46V86US that seems to have power, but will not turn on out of standby. I have checked the power supply and the fuse is good, the voltages are correct on all the connectors and the capacitors are not burnt or deformed. The motherboard, IR board, the board for the control buttons, the speakers, and the other two boards for the screen have power. I have exhausted my electronic knowledge and need help. If i were to guess i would think it's the motherboard because it is hard to believe both the buttons and the IR quit working and the power supply is putting out correct voltages on the 3v,5v,12v,14v, and 24v connectors. If I've described anything wrong or done anything wrong thus far please let me know, this is the first TV I've ever taken apart.

And there doesn't appear to be any hot or burnt spots on any of the boards or components.

Any pictures of how the boards are connected together? Power supply board pictures?

I included the IR and control button boards, and i couldn't see how to get the board that seems to control the LCD display out of it's metal case.

After looking around for a while I've found that a bad EEPROM seems to cause the same symptoms I am having. Would this be a possibility? If so is it easily changed or would it require another motherboard?

"the power supply is putting out correct voltages on the 3v,5v,12v,14v, and 24v connectors." From this, it is telling me that the main board has stuck on PS_ON signal which turns on the power supply for the 12v/14v/24V, the PS_ON should only present when the power switch is activated and goes away when the power switch is turn off. So more likely you do have main board problem. At the same time you need to see if the BL_ON (or Inv_on/off, or on/off) signal is present on the inverter board, this signal is generated by the main board to turn on the backlights. Not sure about EEPROM, you may be able to get it from shojimmy.

Then there was another plug that had 2 grounds and 2 14V pluggs and they had 16 volts on them and the speakers had power too. and the 24V wires for what I assume is the back light had about 24 volts on them. Is that what you were asking for?

I went ahead and bought another main board off ebay. Hopefully that will remedy the problem. I'll say what happens when it comes in next week.

Hi i have this same model tv however opening the panel, the inside looks nothing like the above pics. I only see 2 boards. I have replaced the power board as the only 2 boards visible are the main board and power board. When i turn the tv on i see the Hisense logo light up nice like its going to work then nothing.

NO picture
NO backlights
YES i have sound

Flashlight test reveals images when shined on the screen.

The only other possibility i see is a board at the top of the tv that the main board seems to be connected to. However i do not see a way to access that board

I don't know what to do please help.

'Flashlight test reveals images when shined on the screen. ' That means the integrated T-CON board (the board on top of the panel) with LCD panel is working. You have backlights or backlights circuit problem.
We need really GOOD CLEAR pictures of the whole backside of the TV showing all the board and then the pictures of the power supply board, or the power supply board is not getting the BL-ON signal from the main board to turn on the backlights circuit.

Pictures are way too blur for me to read any labels on the connector or the make and model of the power supply board.

OK, then, you need to check the DCV on the connector XP802 'SW' which is the same as BL-ON to make sure the main board is sending the Backlights ON command to turn on the backlights driver circuits when TV is turned on..
The really bad thing about this TV is that the driver board is INSIDE the LCD panel!

My tv didnt want to turn on I changed the main board now its working but the menu screen and other stuff is like pink now what do I do to fix that thanks its a HISENSE LTDN46V86US
