    Technika 22-880 startup issues

The tv sometimes turns on but always with 15 front panel flashes and when switched to standby with 7, sometimes 10 flashes.

When the tv is on it works perfectly well.

    PS b/d : 17PW05-3 V.2 170111

    Main A/V b/d : 17MB60-3.1

On the PS b/d on the connector next to PL706 when the tv is on and 'working' (numbered from top to bottom):
    1 - 22.3V
    2 - 22.3V
    3 - 3.06V
    4 - 2.18V
    5 - 0
    6 - 0
Looks like this is for the inverter, must be 1) & 2) for 24v rails for backlights, 3) BLOn, 4) Dim, 5) & 6) Gnd

On the PS b/d on the connector next to PL703 when the tv is on and 'working' (numbered from top to bottom):
    1 - 3.3v (tv in stby reads 5v)
    2 - 3.3v
    3 - 3.3v
    4 - 11.12v
    5 - 5v
    6 - 4.97v
    7 - 2.23v
    8 - 3.12v (tv in stby reads 0v)
    9 - 0.02v (tv in stby reads 3v)
    10 - 0v

Can't access the other pins currently to take measurements.

This tv does not have a keypad so only operates from a remote which luckily I do have for this one!

Are there known issues with this Vestel based PS or main A/V b/d? I am aware that these Vestels are known to have issues.

    Re: Technika 22-880 startup issues

Just realised the wrong photos have been added. To follow.

    In standby

    1 - 18.16v
    2 - 18.16v
    3 - 0.3v
    4 - 0v
    5 - 0v
    6 - 0v

Why would there be 18.16v on the 24v rails still when in standby?

For reference the panel in this one is an LG, can't see a model no. without further disassembly.

        Re: Technika 22-880 startup issues

Hi Guys back with this one!

Seems that everything works fine, USB port, HDMI ports, Scart, Vga In, DVB Tuner, volume etc.. etc......

PS b/d voltages seem to be alright so decided to look at the Service Menu and found a Diagnostic page though most options are locked(Read-Only),

        HDMI I2C says NOK
        Ethernet says NOK
        CL+ Credidentals says NOK

After doing a Factory Reset the following item was added to the above list, before it said OK.

        IF I2C says NOK

I don't think Ethernet and CL+ are of concern as the Tv has no Ethernet port and the CL+ has no purpose here in the UK, not as far as I know.

Strange that everything seems to be working including the HDMI and Tuner yet the I2C's are showing errors.

When the tv is powered up into Stby the front LED flashes 14 times then flashes again when brought out of standby 13 times, this does change.

The fault almost certainly is on the A/V b/d, but not sure what to look for here.

Another strange thing is Hotel Mode is set to Yes and yet it can't be as all functions(keypad and remote) and inputs are working, odd!

I guess I could update the FW currently V.0.6.9s but don't think that will be of any benefit here.

            Re: Technika 22-880 startup issues

Reading another thread working on a similar Vestel board I looked at the regulators and found 8v (Pin 3, tab up pin on the right)on the one near that C1083 which was found to be the fault but is 8v to be expected?
Tab up, Pin 1 and 2 (left and middle) reads 1.21v across them, slightly lower than to be expected but would think that is within tolerance, or not???

              Re: Technika 22-880 startup issues

Looking at the service manual for a similar vestel it would appear 8v is fine so too is the 1.2v across pin 1 & 2.

How do I test the PS stand alone?

I'm getting the feeling people are ignoring this thread, perhaps the slightist mention of 'Vestel' is steering people away.

Or we don't have anything useful to contribute. Some problems are difficult to fix. Vestels are often the easiest though because so many people tend to share similar issues.

                      Thanks Tom
Could you tell me how to run the PS standalone please.

I don't think I have numbered the pins correctly, see above Post #5, but would a 1k ohm resistor between pins 5 and 6 start it up?
                      Thanks

                        Re: Technika 22-880 startup issues

In standby theres a buzzing diode D704 next to the transformer, could this be the fault? Or the 2kv cap or the ICE perhaps?

What is this part of the circuit, rectification?

How can I test for voltages here, where to probe and what readings should I expect? Thanks

                          P/S schematic

                          I'd say pin 17 and pin 9 thru 1k.

That schema helps so I shall renumber those pins to associate the correct voltages.

                              PS b/d PL703:
                              1. 0.29v 3.3v---------2. 0.3v 4.99v

                              7. 8.62v 11.11v-------8. 8.66v 11.11v
                              9. 0.25v 5v-----------10. 0.26v 5v
                              11. 4.84v 4.94v--------12. 4.86v 11.05v
                              13. 0v 2.22v ----------14. 0v 0v
                              15. 0.29v 3.11v--------16. 0.3v 0v
                              17. 2.97v 0v-----------18. 2.98v 0v
                              19. 0v 0v-------------20. 0v 0v

I understand why you don't like Vestel Schemas now!

The only thing I would say that looks odd with these voltages is on Pins 7, 8 & 12 and thats the 12v looks a little low 11.11v and 11.05v.

Also as a note on IC701 theres only 7.68v on Pin 1 and 6.64v on Pin 2 in stby. 10v and 9v respectively when switched on.

                              12v and 24v are low on TR700 output side 11.14v and 22.3v.

The front led starts flashing before the buzz, the buzz starts once the front led stops flashing, so think I'm on a wild goose chase with the diode and ICE, maybe. This leads me to believe its something else detected as being at fault. I have replaced D704 with same results and C715.

C705 and C706 reads 319v whilst led flashing then rises to 323v when led stops flashing. Turn on from stby and they drop back to 319v then when the tv comes on they drop further to 314v.

Not sure if this helps at all!

OK, so it could be the ICE, just read what it is and what it does not that I fully understand it but looks more like its the 12v being too low, I think?

Hi, trying to troubleshoot some problems with this laptop I just finished repairing which had power issues (Burnt Buck converter - SY8883DFC shorted to ground).

After repairing the above issue, I realized the following remaining problem,
Sound only comes from bottom speakers, top palmrest speakers don't work. Neither does the headphone jack (static/buzzing).
The computer recognizes headphones are connected and displays a popup in windows
Sometimes, the computer will boot up and the sound will be working fine. However, if I run intensive programs and the computer...

Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3 15ACH - Ideapad 3 well known solder joint issues
                                          by Nagyesz
I have a Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3 15ACH, which has started exhibiting the well-known issues of the Lenovo IdeaPad 3.

All stress tests run perfectly, and there are no performance issues. However, the solder joints are almost certainly starting to fail. If the top two screws on the back are not screwed in, moving the screen results in a BSOD or, in some cases, a slight artifact and freeze. This is a 2023 notebook..

How can I extend its lifespan? Could reflow help?

It has ryzen 5 5500h, rtx 2050, no soldered ram.

                                          Example of the artifacts:

                                          Hi everyone.
Lenovo Thinkpad E14 Gen 3, stuck on the "To interrupt normal startup, press Enter" screen.
Found a lot of people with this issue, but with no definitive answer. Some people managed to get away accessing BIOS, going to Startup and turning off "Option Key Display". For me that only removed the interrupt normal start up message, leaving only the Lenovo logo.
Most people say hitting Enter does not work. It's true, if you wait a few seconds. But if you hit Enter right away you get the options to enter BIOS (which works), run diagnostics (goes to a...

Hey I am having Asus Rog strix g15 g513ih hn0865 and it's having display issues while running on igpu. Works fine when I open any game or whatsapp windows application. The issues are :
                                          Black screen, freeze
The weird thing is that when as long as the laptop is running on igpu the problem keeps happening. But as soon as I open any game or whatsapp windows application, the laptop works completely fine.
When the screen freeze or black screen I used to move the display lid up and down and it usually works like that.
So can anyone tell me what would be the possible cause?...
