Alright, well after shipping and tax etc, it looks like the estimate would be $117 unless paypal charges anything extra for conversion for the 3 parts.. this is definitely the cheapest around, and this will cover other parts (given they work) too. How long does shipping usually take for you? - I know your in Australia but I would assume shipping should be about the same give or take a few days.

Also on the site, it is requiring me to enter a Tax ID.. any particular reason why?

Well I bought it and it came out to be $120 shipped. I will update after getting them..

But yeah.. sadly the part on eBay that was listed at 190, it sold for his asking price it is definitely in need.. Almost tempting to order and list it but feel like doing so..

When they arrive I suggest testing for shorted transistors or at least test SC2 for short and also the buffers for shorts before you install just in case they're duds.

            Hope it works out

Well That's good news and a very cheap repair for that board. If it turned on and has picture, then nothing is cracked.

Were your buffer boards ok in the end? O r did you just put all the received part in anyway?

A spare buffer set could be handy.

Hey post a pic of it running when it's all put back together.

                      Re: Panasonic TC-50PS14 10 blinks

Well I put it half back together to make sure if anything was wrong with it (have learned from putting other things back together all of the way in the past) and it payed off as I have larger "lines" going through the tv. I would just say some of the buffer board connections were not completely connected. No biggy.. I just did not have time earlier to do any more.

I will post a pic once getting it all going officially.

PS - I did check the SC2 and it simply kept rising.. I believe I read somewhere that was what is suppose to happen. And yes I replaced all 3 - Since I bought the kit, might as well keep the trio going as they were.

PSS - I bought the Mastech MS8268 for $27 and it seems to have a lot of nice features that I like (some I did not even know until after buying) but specs say it is suppose to read to 40MOhm.

Don't attempt to adjust those ribbons with it on. I've read a few cases where people thought it was ok to do that only to short out and blow the boards.

Enjoy, hang onto the old SC in case it's repairable.

Well I would hange onto everything but I was thinking about listing them at fixed price and see if I get any bites. I wouldn't mind fixing it but I am also going to either resell the tv or give it as a gift. I am just unsure about giving it as a gift as the base is cracked and I do not like the idea of given a somewhat broken item to someone, I am sure they would love it as they still have a tube tv but just not sure as that is not the only reason why I am unsure. So me keeping the boards in end will only clutter more space (which I do not have).

I picked up a tc-50ps14 which has the 10 blinks issue. I followed the flow chart on the PDF, which ended with pulling the A1 and grounding the 8th pin. My interpretation is that the tv should have powered up briefly although the 10 blinks code may be displayed. The set did not power up at all with the A1 disconnected and pin 8 grounded. Does this indicate the A board is bad? I expected it to power up and give 10 blinks at least.

Try this. disconnect Sc2,sc20,ss11,p35, 3 white ribbons at the A board A31,32,33 and try turning it on. if it still 10 blinks , I would say a-board.

maybe you can check the sub voltages for shorts. weird things have happened like coins jammed in sd slots short the A-board out

don't reconnect sc2,ss11 or p35 straight away . let it sit for several minutes or use a meter to check if they're still hot. risk of spiking panel or boards, panel driver ic damage would be terminal.

I will check this tonight. I contacted an ebayer about A board. The only listing I see is for $130 and has no returns. I contacted a local dealer and he was not very optimistic about this set at all. I'll weigh by options. Any recommendations for finding parts other than ebay?

As these get older, parts get harder and more expensive to find. Moduslink do board repair but A boards are rarely cheap unless there are plenty around. May be possible to find a similar 50" of the same series A board.

determine if it's A board first I guess.

After this I get 0 blinks, it has absolutely no power at all. I came to the same end when shorting out the ground pin 8 of connector A1 (Disconnected the lead from the a board and grounded the 8th pin on the cable). I checked with Moduslink and they do have the part @150 but they offer a return option with a %20 restocking fee. I'm only $42 invested right now and I'm open to trying parts. I don't want to inconvenience sellers with returns due to my poor isolation.

The jpg is the flow chart I used for tc-50ps14.

Hello! yes I know there is already lots of information about this issue. I have a Panasonic TC-P55ST50 that originally displayed an 8-blink error code. Following the troubleshooting flowchart, I ended up replacing the SS board. However, even after replacing it, the issue persists. The TV turns on and stays on without displaying an image, and continuity is confirmed on all connectors. What am I missing hereπŸ€”?
Ok Im a mechanical engineer ...but I thought I was able to follow a rather simple flowchart for electric troubleshooting πŸ˜‚.

Bought this TV used not working, panel flashed briefly on power up and it was blinking 8 times, a quick look on SS board revealed a common fault on the 3uF 250V capacitors, C201 to C205 (C1620X in the service manual), the solder joints were all cracked, C201 and C205 pins were darkened and some sparking had occurred on them, C201 was split open and clearly overheated in its last hours, replaced that one and resoldered the others, 8 blinks fixed.

Also the previous owner broke the antenna connector by taking the TV out of the wall mount forgetting to unplug it, I desoldered the tuner...

                                            Panasonic plasma TX-P42ST50 - 6 blinks

                                            Hi,
anyone able to provide the service manual for old plasma Panasonic TX-P42ST50E?
It turns off almost immediately (0~5 seconds after pressing the on/off button) and starts flashing the red diode 6 times.
I disconnected the left-hand side board (SC?, both the ribbon cable and the power cable to it) and also another ribbon going to bottom left board. Then the led signal is 8 flashes. According to service guide to another Panasonic plasma it would mean the left-hand side board is faulty. But I'm not sure it 100% applies to my model.
I checked that board for any obvious faults...

Panasonic Plasma TH-50PZ85U No screen No blinks on red power light
                                            by Alicat
                                            Hello,

Stopped by this site trying to fix my parents Panasonic Plasma TV.

                                            Model number is TH-50PZ85U

Power comes on and the red power light stays on solid.

Did a few checks like hold the power button on for 60 seconds, hold the - Volume while holding the menu button, no luck, still@ blank grey screen as the screen lights up very vague.

I also hear a few clicks.

I also think my parents said there was a thunderstorm and the TV failed after that.

Section 6 in the service manual talks about power and no screen,...

                                            Hello all,
As the title states, I followed the troubleshooting guide located here: https://www.manualslib.com/manual/23...page=53#manual, which concluded the 'A' board needs to be replaced. Looking around the net and eBay, I see that there are repair services for the board (TNPH1043UE? Not sure if it is a 'UE' as the suffix grid does not appear marked). What additional troubleshooting can be performed to ensure 1) this board is the problem and 2) since there are repair services, what are they fixing on the board?) I expected 3.3V not to be available anywhere...
