Re: Samsung UN55C6300SFXZA won,t power up

From what you've said more likely power board than main board.

PS-50C96HD is a plasma... completely irrelevant to this post!

Re: Samsung UN55C6300SFXZA won,t power up

I think I may have found the problem. Since 12 volt and 18 volt (Vdrv) would not come up when I fed the board pwr up from stby, I took a look at the impedance from the rectifiers for each supply to chassis ground, I found Vdrv at 54 Ohms. Seemed kind of low so I started backtracking through all the Ckts that Vdrv feeds and found where it seemed to originate.

Removed Q9101 and mesured 21 ohms source to drain both polaritys. Found a source for the parts and will order a bakers dozen monday. Will probably replace Q9102 as well just because.

Checked as many more of the Jfets as My eyes would allow and could find no further failures, will check some more monday before I order parts.

Seems the power board did fail again, maybe the main board has something to do with it but it looks like it may be contained on the PSU.

If I made a buck an hour on this one I,d probably have made a whopping 32 bucks.

Wooo Hoo, and it ain,t over yet!
None of these whole boards seem to be available in the secondary channel.
          "BN4400358B"

The last time I ran into something like this the parts were gonna cost 25 and I could get a guranteed board for 16.00 with free freight.
Maybe one will show up later if I need it.

          I,ll keep you posted.

Replace the jfet and it,s back with the living.
I,ll burn in in for a while and hope it,s a done er.

            Thanks for the help everyone.

Re: Samsung UN55C6300SFXZA won,t power up

Well, it ran about two hours, then heard a pretty loud pop and it went off.
Checking it out I found on the power board (BN44-0358B) that Q9201 , Q9204 and IC9201 all associated with LED dimming were bad. Already had the FQU5N40 Jfets so i replaced Q9201 snd Q9204. I can,t find a source for the chip except across the big pond, S Korea or China. ( SELC2010M, BD31L1GP, Map3201) Schematic calls out MAP3201

I am wondering now if something is amiss with the LED panels associated with Pins 5,6,7,8 arcing internally or to the chassis as I can,t find who was responsible for the Pop I heard.

I was looking at the screen properties when it popped, I noticed contrast was set at 100 percent was preparing to tone it down when it popped.

Any of you that have had any similar problems please respond.
              Thanks David

Re: Samsung UN55C6300SFXZA won,t power up

This power Board must be a high failure item, not many around, found board from samsung for 125 plus freight, found chip from dubious korean source.
Think I,ll sit on this one a bit and see if parts become more available.

They wanted 10 bucks for the chip and 25 day lead time???

                None at mouser or digikey.

Samsung TV won't turn on ... keeps cycling the power relay on & off
                    by Journey11
                    Hi All,
First time posting here ... my name is Kevin but my friends call me Journey.
I have a Samsung 75" LCD model UN75RU8000FXZA that I don't remember the original fault other than it wouldn't power up anymore.
After it sat for many month's I decide to look at it again. The motherboard seemed to have power regulation issues. After much fussing I decided to just get a new MB.
It came a few days ago and I installed it now just cycles the power relay on and off ... when on the backlights light up and then dim and then relay kicks off and the whole things starts again....

I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

                    Assuming...

Microsoft Surface Pro (5th gen) model 1796 - no power
                    by PantherDave
                    Hi all!

I'm trying to troubleshoot a Microsoft Surface Pro (5th gen) model 1796 that won't power on. Motherboard model is M1007506-015. My priority is retrieving data, but the SSD is integrated so it looks like if I can't repair it it'll need to go to a data recovery company. I've done a little basic board repair before, but nothing this advanced until now. So please forgive my ignorance in advance. 😅

I found the boardview for this laptop in the forums here, and am able to open it on my PC with FlexBV.

                    Asus Probook P5440UF-XB74 power issue

                    Hi all,

TL;DR - this laptop is driving me nuts with the oddball power-related behaviors. Appreciate any insight you can provide!

I'm experiencing a power issue on an Asus Probook P5440UF-XB74. Although I've worked with electronics and computers for decades, this is my first attempt at getting into motherboard-level component troubleshooting. Any help the community can provide is greatly appreciated!

A few weeks ago I was using the laptop (on battery power) for a Zoom meeting. The battery was running very low (long meeting) but I wasn't worried about...

                    Samsung UN43NU6950FXZA No power
                    by mrtek
                    Hi

Picked up another TV. Samsung UN43NU6950FXZA. No power and no standBy led on. Removed back cover and:
                    Main fuse = OK
Back light LED = OK. Power them with aux power source
                    LED output = OK 156V
I do get 12 V DC out of the power supply going to the digital section but no 5V or 3.3V. PS_on voltage is only 1.8V. I have looked everywhere on the PCB , I could not find i reference for 5V output.
Also removed connections to panel, speakers and remote but no luck. One strange thing is that even with the LED power supply working, backlight LED do not turn on...
