LG 50" PS3000 plasma suddenly has a very dark/dim screen, still has sound, any ideas?

Hi,

My Lg ps3000 suddenly went very dark/dim so that it is now not even remotely watchable though it still has sound. I'm all but certain that it isn't a y-sus board issue (as I had a spare which shows the same problem). The z-sus is making a constant buzzing/humming noise so I'm thinking that it may be the issue but before I fork out (roughly) £50 on a replacement I'd really appreciate any advice that can be offered.

I'd go for Z-sus. There's a repair kit for the Z-sus on eBay if you want, I think it's around £15.

Sorry I know this is an old post but mine just done the same did you get the repair kit if so did it work or did you find out what the fault was? Mine was ok until I took my t off the wall when turned on after that is when the problem started. Any advise is appreciated. Thanks you.

Zsus issue, failed fets and resistors look up 50ps3000 repair kit. Firstly test Zbias on the Zsus should be 96v or so.
