Measure at the two legs of CS28 is the 5v stby output filter cap. You do not have to have anything connected to the power supply board except the 120V input power.

Is this reading without anything else attached to the power board except the 120VAC?

Do you still have the main board? I'm looking to buy a salvaged one for this set.

Thanks for all the posts and pics. I was able to fix a dead power supply and now have a working TV again...

I have one of these also. Normal bad caps leaking as well as found Q7 shorted. All replaced but still no 24v on CNS2 and the 12v on CNS1 is only 2.3 volts . I have 5v and the set goes to standby with RED LED then power button press brings on the BLUE LED but obviously nothing else. Anyone have an idea ?
