Re: Acquired a JVC LT 32EX38 need help

I am using the first board again. I tried both boards and neither one let HDMI 1 work. Might be a power board issue but I am good with not having it and every thing else working.

I just fixed 37XM48 with the same symptoms. It was AS15 chip failure so I replaced that chip on T-Con. HDMI ports stopped working too - it's because light sensor on main board which disables HDMI ports if cover is removed and TV is turned on. Now I need find original remote to re enable it from service menu.

I also found instructions how to do it without entering service menu, but it doesn't work for my model.

      1. Unplug HDMI cable from tv.
      2. Unplug the tv.
      3. Remove the rear (low) back cover.
      4. Find the 6 pins on the board of the HDMI module and shortcut the pins no.1 and no.2 using a jumper(use an old hard drive jumper). It's the top two pins if you can't see the number.
      5. Put the rear cover back on so no light can get into the back cavity (aside from light that might get in through the vent holes, that should be fine)
      6. Plug in the tv.
      7. it should turn itself on, if not, turn on the tv.
      8. wait a few seconds until theres a picture and then unplug the tv (without tunrning it off).
      9. Remove the back cover again.
      10. Remove the jumper from pins 1 and 2.
      11. Put the rear cover back on again and again make sure no light can get into the back cavity.
      12. Plug the tv in one last time and you're done.

I wonder if I need jump different pins? This is what it looks like on my TV
