    Sony KDL-32M3000 no picture

Tv shows nothing on screen ( no menu - no volume bar - nothing at all )

When power button is pressed 3 seconds later the backlights come on then after another 3 seconds the backlights go out and then 4 seconds later the backlights come back on and stay on.

The main board was replaced with a board from Ebay with no change.

Please advise what would be recommended as my next step.

    Thank You in advance.

First, you need to post the pictures of the backside of the TV so we can see what we are dealing with first.

At the top of the TV there is a board under a metal case, can you unscrew the case and get a picture of the board? (Once you undo the case, put the screws into the board where the case holes used to be so we can do diagnosis on it.)

OK, right near the rainbow coloured input cable from the main board (LVDS) there is a small surface mounted fuse, F1. Please check the resistance of this fuse with a digital multimeter.

At the F1 fuse there is a resistance reading of 303 kohms

I have the same problem, Sony KDL-32M4000
I replaced the fuse and now the large chip on the T-CON board is getting very hot and the screen shows this.

How about when you put time and money into a TV and it needs a new screen.
The customer says you didn't fix it, so I don't owe you anything.

This was my main TV for the last 6 years. I'm not inclined to throw out a $2600 TV so quickly so I'm trying to investigate the issue.

                              Problem
TV was disconnected from power for 6 months during construction. When I plugged it yesterday picture was fine, after 30 seconds it dimmed then started developing horizontal lines, picture then starts to ghost vertically until it degrades into vertical streaks. TV always displays a perfect picture when cold. I can unplug TV for 5 minutes and plug it back in and picture is restored for 20 seconds. I can also keep it in standby mode...

Hello, Last week I bought the 50" Sony X80j tv everything was working fine, untill I plugged the tv in a ups power supply 650va the tv remote control became unresponsive and the TV became laggy after a while the picture quality isn't the same as before the tv seems less brighter and the picture is somehow blurry, people's faces don't look as natural as before, there is a mini orange-pink tint to the edge of people's faces especially in NETFLIX Dolby Vision like in One Piece ep1 Alvida skin tone, my intention was to protect the tv but something went wrong I checked the ups with a multimeter,...

Sony TV model KD-65XE7005 - only Sony logo for 3 seconds
                              by mauda
I'm currently working on repairing a malfunctioning Sony TV model KD-65XE7005 with the mainboard 1-981-926-21. I would appreciate your assistance with this issue.

Upon powering on the TV, the Sony logo appears for approximately 3 seconds, after which the backlight remains lit, the screen remains black, and nothing else happens. The TV consumes around 55W initially and then drops to 35W. The indicator LED remains solid white. It doesn't respond to the remote control. When attempting to update the TV using a USB dongle, the dongle briefly flashes but nothing else happens.

Sony XBR-85X950G Gray horizontal lines and vertical picture shift diagnosis?
                              by noisykid
5.5 year old 85 inch Sony Bravia X950G started showing gray horizontal lines across the bottom of the screen and the picture shifts slightly vertically when it happens. The lines sometimes get bigger/smaller vertically and bounce back. See the video for the problem. It seems to be happening after it warms up after an hour or so. Happens regardless of source. Right now there's nothing but power cable connected and it's happening. We did hook up a new Nintendo Switch to our HDMI switching receiver today, and played for a while with no issues, but this problem didn't occur til a few hours later while...
