LG 50PG20- No Picture. just humming noise

Im very new to electrial type work but Im quick at learning and want to fix this myself.

I was watching TV today and a "pop" noise happend and the screen went black.

I did some research and tore the TV apart. A visual inspection of the boards looked good.

I decided to take the wire harness off of the Y-SUS board and then plug the TV in and turn it on. The humming noise was not present. I plugged the harness tothe Y board back in and then turned the TV on again and the humming was there.

I got a multimeter and there were 5V going into the y-sus board.

On the thinner Y-boards on the left, I looked and seem that +5v was supposed to power the 7/8 slot [see picture] but no power was present.

Is it an accurate assessment to say the problem is in the YSUS board?

Thank you in advance for your assistance:

It sounds like a Y-Sustain problem:
      - Have you closely examined the board for burns or visibly damaged components?
      - Are there any blown fuses on the Y-Sus? Check the fuse(s) on the Z-Sus, also. Fuses are usually marked with an "F" prefix.
      - Is there an LED on the Y-Sus, and is it lit when the TV's turned on?

I don't know this chassis very well, so I'm unsure of what's under the heat sinks. Can you post a pic or two of the heat sinks from a different angle?

Also, carefully check the panel for cracks. A loud buzzing can be due to a cracked panel, and the crack can be very small.

Samsung LE40F86BDX (model 2007) noise in picture
          by tracid1987
          Hi

I have this TV bought back in 2007 and used it for playing on PS3 for 4-5 years actively. After then it was barely used. It was mostly in stand-by mode or plugged out of mains completely for years. Today when i turned it on i have noticed noise in picture on two different locations of the screen. As you can see on the photos (see attachments) the noise is only in a small rectangle area, and if you look at it closely you see that one noise rectangle area is at the upper left corner of first half of screen, the other noise rectangle area is at the upper left corner of the second...

T-con suspect issue. Both ribbon cables no picture. One ribbon cable ok. (58pus8545)
          by Tr0ll
Hi guys! I realized you have a lot of knowledge here so i am hoping you could point me in right direction with my odd issue.

The Tv is a Philips 58PUS8545/12, it had no picture but working backlights.

          Original T-con:
Opened the Tv and tested to unplug one ribbon cable at a time. With this test i could see that i got fine picture on both halves as long as there was only one ribbon cable connected, with two connected picture were gone.

          First replacement T-con:

I thought it might be t-con and ordered new t-con from china(supposedly tested)...

SAMSUNG UN55KS9000F picture fades then distorts into vertical lines after 20 seconds
          by JJAAMM
This was my main TV for the last 6 years. I'm not inclined to throw out a $2600 TV so quickly so I'm trying to investigate the issue.

          Problem
TV was disconnected from power for 6 months during construction. When I plugged it yesterday picture was fine, after 30 seconds it dimmed then started developing horizontal lines, picture then starts to ghost vertically until it degrades into vertical streaks. TV always displays a perfect picture when cold. I can unplug TV for 5 minutes and plug it back in and picture is restored for 20 seconds. I can also keep it in standby mode...

          METZ 65MUB8000 picture noise

          Hi,
I have this 65 android tv that switches ON ok but after the LOGO is displayed a lot of noise starts appearing across the picture.

After an overnight OFF it takes a little longer for the fault to appear. I have tried to take advantage of this by heating up the mainboard and TCON while keeping the display cold. But have inconclusive results.

Tried removing either panel Tabs but with 1 tab only I get no picture. Then I tried the tape method on a small portion of each tab, moving the insulator left to right, but again didn't find any correlation.

Samsung TV model UE50TU: rebooting, backlight, sound, but no picture
          by TR103
          Hi, I have a Samsung UE50TU with:
          - sound and backlight, but no picture
          - when it arrived, it had a picture for a few seconds
          - it keeps rebooting
          - without ribbon cable between the two panel boards, it does not reboot but I have no picture
          - without cable between mainboard and lcd panel, it does not reboot (but obviously i have no picture)
          - when i try a tape fix, its keeps rebooting, unless I tape off pin 1 (the innermost pin). In that case it does not reboot but I have no picture.

          - without cable between mainboard and lcd panel and with a jumpered...
