Re: Sanyo dp46819 left side screen black
There should be two flat white cable between the T-CON and the LCD PANEL, it looks like the left side cable may not be connected or the drive for that side is dead. See post 10 for the pictures of typical flat white ribbon cables.

by Ryan.manHello everybody! Posting this in hopes somebody has some expertise that leads to a clear path of troubleshooting that saves me a lot of time!
My macbook has the flex cable problem, the one that prevents the screen turning on. Ive been dealing with this for the last 3 years. Last year it went dead and I managed to fix it following youtube tutorials. But my fix wasnt the best, the problem returned a month later. This week, it went dead again. I again tried to fix it.
This time the original cable broke too close to the screen, it can't be fixed without tearing the screen... -

This is an LG edge LED lit LCD Display. The LEDs are on the bottom edge of the display. There are 2 bars (left and right) Each bar has many LEDs and a 6 pin connector. Each pin drive several LEDs thus is the highest current flow / heat junction. The weak lead free solder gradually fails with thermal expansion/contraction cycling and increases resistance. PSU will compensate up to a point, then when the current is too high, PSU just shut down the backlight causing a dark display. I have even seen one which the connector just fell off as solder points became completely detached....-

by DXseekerMOSo here we go with another screen short TCL. For this exercise left and right will be reference looking at the screen.
The person I got this TV from said the color was bad in a vertical fashion about 1/4 of the way over the left side of the screen. Shortly after the symptoms below started.
Power Supply, main and T-CON board are working.
Symptoms: The TV has backlights but no picture with both FFC's attached to the T-CON and does not respond to the remote or buttons, and the TV appears to continuously re-boot.
Unhook FFC from left side... -
by frannyjunkMy Vizio M60-C3 was dead. No power, no lights. Just nothing. So I took the back cover off and noticed 4 bulging caps on the power supply board, so I replaced them (green low esr capacitors in the picture). The tv now works! But there are some areas that look dim (see picture). In particular, the left side has a dim band. I know that the led strips run horizontal, yet this band is vertical. Could it be that the led driver board is bad? Could the blown caps have taken out the led driver board? Or is this just a coincidence that every left side led on each strip just went out?...

by RozpHello Everyone,
This is my first post so I will try to be as precise as possible without making this post too long winded. Unfortunately I don't have pictures of the original problem but I included images of the TV internals.
I have a Sharp 70LE660U. The problem started a few months ago with the bottom row looking out of sync and was dark on the left side and then fading to transparent on the right side. Shortly after, a dark cloud appeared in the center of the screen. The dark cloud started small and shaded but the image was visible. It also affected the menu area.... - Loading...
