SAMSUNG Plasma TV PN50A450 vertical black line about 2" top to bottom screen

Hi everyone;
I have a plasma TV Samsung. Lately it developed a large 2" black line running from top to bottom of the screen as if it split the screen into 2 halves.
What can it be the problem? Is it fixable?
It appears as split screen on all playing devices, cable tv, DVD, etc.

It may be a panel defect, but there is the chance it is repairable. How about showing us a picture of the problem?
