Horizontal colored line on screen of SONY 32" LCD TVC

I fell yesterday on a 32" LCD Sony with the following "anomaly":
Just after turning on: very good nice clear image except for a "bothering" horizontal colored line exactly 6.5cm from top of screen all the way from left to right..
    Sound normal.
But after 10 mn, many many interfering(moving up & down) horizontal lines start to appear only on lower half of screen forming a "net" over the image, with much less contrast on this lower half (the first bothering line on top is still there..) Image stays that way untill TV is turned off.
Later on, I will give more details (model of this SONY...)
What could be the origin of the problem? SPMS seems good (all sources)

Probably the tab bonds at the top of the display panel.

Thanks for the reply. Seems I have to change the whole panel!! Or can the tap bonds on top of screen be repaired... fixed? Here are some more details about the TV (information on back cover):
      SONY
      Model No: KLV-32BX300
      LCD color TV
      110-240VAC 50/60Hz 109W

One more thing: the "moving lines" lines start in fact from the line I indicated before all the way down, not from middle of screen...

Whether or not it is repairable depends on the failure. In some cases you can apply a "shim" to the tab to help it make better contact.

Interesting good short term solution (tab bonds are very fragile as you know). It might work for a long time though.. Nice video.. Thanks anyway. I'm going to try it.

            After verification, I found:
            - Tab bonds both 100% OK on top of display panel.
            - Broken edge of LCD panel glass of about 2mm in far right lower corner. It wouldn't be the cause of the problem, would it?
            - Why does the video signal of the MENU of a demo appear fine on screen? Only when image (and sound) are released from a TV chanel such as CNN for example that the anomaly occurs? After this observation, I start now to suspect the motherboard. Any ideas??

The crack in the LCD shouldn't be the cause if you say the menus are not corrupted. As you suspect, this is likely a main board issue.

              A working TV? How boring!

A cracked LCD can and will cause vertical line defects.
