    Service/repair rates for panel replacement

I'm wondering what you guys charge for labor in general or if you replace a panel.

    I just replaced a panel on a Toshiba 42zv650u.
Panel cost $120 used-I got lucky
I was thinking of $150 total

Keep in mind I'm not a professional like some of u.

Well, I've never done it, but it's a tough job, and you can break or scratch the new panel. So I'd probably add a 33~50% margin, to compensate for my personal screw ups.

I've replaced a panel in the TV I'm using right now as my second PC monitor. I found one in good condition on eBay for about $70. That was a couple years ago when flat TVs had higher retail values, and I only replaced the panel because the TV has a DVD player; I was planning on mounting it in my garage. The TV is only 26", so it was obviously easier to justify the shipping cost. The panel wasn't too terribly difficult to replace on this particular TV. I've taken apart a 32" plasma in an attempt to remove cigarette odor - that was a nerve-wracking experience.

I'd probably charge about $50/hr, but replacement panels are hard to find and not normally worth the expense vs replacing the TV. So, I doubt there's much of a market.
