OK, please chek the resistance of the Source resistors R621A, R621B. They should be leass than 1 Ohm (use 200 Ohm scale).
Please also get the P/N as printed on the SMPS IC601 so we can get the spec sheet to figure out the function of each pin.

Those are very hard to see but i think i have them correct.
The (04), Is inside a circle, not parenthesis

when you find the spec sheet can you send me the link so i can see it? maybe i can learn something. went to alldata but dont know what i am looking for or what numbers to put in.

It is getting enough B+ at pin 12 (Vs) for it to run or at least start up, I do not remember if you put the volt meter at the 24V output to see if it even jumps up for seconds or not. If not, this IC may be dead since i expect it to try to fire up the circuits and then goes into shutdown due to some fault condition.

Look at the 24V pin which should go the inverter board.

Immediately upon turning the power on, the 24v pin it goes to -60mv and goes down and hangs out about 20. The 12volt pin going to main goes to 2.12vdc immediately and then starts going down quickly.

The IC is L6598 (DLA001D), the one on the Digikey link is L6566.
It does sound like it did try to start up. Do you have small 12v lamp to connect it to the 12v output to see if it will light up for seconds?

I did have a 1157 bulb. It would not come on when the set was turned on

For some reason when i touched the lead to the ps_on there was a blue led that came on the t-conn.? It went off when i took it off. Hope i didnt mess anything up. When i was reading the 12v pin for it read 2.12 for not even half a second.

OK, that last one from Digikey is the correct one.
What you should also do is to record the resistance reading of all the pins against the Ground pin (pin 10) before removing the old one, then take the reading when the new one is install just in case some of the pin may get solder bridge.

Good deal.Thanks Bud!! I have got two ordered from digikey. I think i will do ok getting the old one off it doesnt appear like it will take alot of heat. I will post a picture after i get the new one on.

So bud, I replaced the ic. Still nothing, exact same thing. so I bought a power supply. Now there is clicking on the power supply and a buzz. Then there is a click on the inverter board. blue led on the tconn. Then shortly there after it all just stops. No buzz or light. Power supply made heat quickly i thought. 24V shoots up to 3.5 Volts and then goes away
