The connector to the right has PSON and VSON, does that go to the main board?

I see the connector with PSON and VSON,It goes from PS board to control board.Do you still want me to check for polarity?

Re: SAMSUNG HP-T5054 will not turn on,clicks when power is applied to it

I'm thinking that it's going to be difficult to test it due to the odd design Samsung have used. I think the main board is the fault. There appears to be a PS-ON on the connector (no VS-ON though) going to the main board. Can you check what voltage appears on there?

I checked PS-ON pin at the PS BOARD WITH POWER PLUGGED IN ,iGET LESS THAN ONE VOLT. It changes a little .096 to.149 when it clicks.

That's with the main board disconnected though? Can you try with it plugged in?

I tried both ways, the readings i gave you are with it connected, without it connected I get constant .664 and it doesn't click when disconnected from PS board

Well, the reading is unexpected. Can you check what the PS-ON is doing on the connector going to the control board?

The ps-on on the connector going to control board, with it connected and power on it has .000 to.9 as it clicks

I checked all the pins at the ps board on the connector going to main board, with power applied,I did not have power on any of them. I did the same on the connector going to control board,i had no power on them either

What range do you have your multimeter set to?

I HAVE BEEN CHECKING VAC,SHOULD I BE LOOKING FOR DC voltage

                              And use 20VDC range.

                                I checked ps-on on both connectors,on main board it's 0.00,on the control board it's 0.00to0.20

That is not right at all. I suspect a problem with your meter or you are not probing correctly. What are you using as ground?

first i did get a better ground, screw on corner of the board.I disconnected the connector to main board, with power on ,i checked PS-ON PIN I have constant 3.8vdc with it connected it goes from 3.34 to .245 to OL THEN CYCLES OVER AND OVER THESE NUMBERS. With connector to control Board connected PS-ON PIN goes from .244 to OL as it clicks, with it disconnected it goes from 3.34 to .245 to OL then it cycles thru over and over.I hope you can understand what i am saying.

That makes more sense. This tells us a LOW signal turns the power supply on. So, get the resistor and put it from PS-ON to RTN or GND (whichever is present.) Then do the 3-4 jumper with LVDS removed from the control board, and see if test patterns appear.

when i install the resistor, i do keep the main board connector connected.what return do i connect to ?,is the test pattern i am looking for on the tv screen ?

I checked all the fuses again , the fuse in the center of the power board was blown,I replaced it when i connected power and turned it on it blowed again.
