Samsung "LN40A450C1DXZC" Lines On TV Screen Problem, How do I fix?

Hi there I am very glad I found these forums. First off thank you in advance for any help on here I appreciate it. Okay, so my problem is that my tv has small thin colored lines that are on the left side of the tv screen. There is also a thick see through colored line on the left side of the tv screen. The lines do show overtop of the menus. Here is a picture showing the issues:

You have a bad LCD panel.

And it is unlikely to be a tab bond problem.

It is not repairable in most instances. The actual LCD driver chips which are heat bonded to the panel are defective. It is a common issue with the A-series as well as some B-series Samsung LCD.

Is this problem like you said only specific for my tv model? If it isn't specific to my model I think my uncle had the same issue and he fixed it but he had a different tv so I am not sure if the same solution he used will work for my tv.

It is specific to a large number of 2009~2010 Samsung LCD TVs I think. Samsung are aware of the issue but will probably fob you off.

A new LCD panel, which will cost from 70~80% of the price of a new TV. Not worth it in most cases. Sorry.

Okay well thank you... All I need to do now is explain this to my father lol... I'm sure we'll end up trying what my Uncle did... But thank you nevertheless.
