    Lg 32ld350

Hello, I have this LG with no Tuner function, ie No analogue or digital channels.
I've tried a factory reset and scan and also shorted out the eprom on mainboard to reset it's data but no difference. There doesn't appear to be any smd fuses to replace and it only has one tuner so could it be the tuner, and has anybody had the fault and fixed it? Don't really want to replace the main board if possible.

Does it work with other inputs?

Are all the supplies present from the PSU?

Check the +3.4V from PSU, if present.

Is it set to Hotel Mode? Have you checked voltages on the tuner pins?

yes, it is set to Home use. On tuner pins i have 3.3V, 5V. I think all voltages is good.

Is it worth to replace tuner only? i found it on ebay for 28 USD

                      Re: Lg 32ld350

Is it going through the motion of scanning and finding channels but just not storing them or is it not finding any channels. If not finding any channels check your aerial connection. The last person who has a similar problem found that his aerial worked one set but not another set alongside. Different tuners have different gains, so a weak signal could viewed on one set with a high gain tuner but not on another set with a lower gain tuner.

TV scan but nothing found, no TV channel. I try on 2 places. On my home and my friend TV (and i have similar LG TV) i have signal 98% on my TV but when scanning with this TV no channel found.

Resolder the tuner, add fresh solder to the contacts too for the ground and inside the port and the motherboard. Will upload youtube video of the repair soon.

For clucas a quick fix would seem to be put a settop box in place as they only $20/30 now.

I read EBOOK of Testing Electronic Component and found that

"In order to test the small blue resin coated ceramic disk capacitor which has 104 50v specification,it is possible to test this small ceramic capacitor by making use of analogue meter.
Set to times 10Kohm that has 12v output from the probe to check disorder of ceramic capacitor.
It is not uncommon that testing result of digital capacitance meter is okay,But It show shorted reading when you check it with analogue meter."

Is it really possible to test small ceramic disc capacitor with analogue...

I can hear Fred Sanford now...."YOU BIG DUMMY".....I pulled the "F" connector out of the tuner by accident. The tuner number is BN40-00248B. Low and behold I had a scrap board with tuner number BN40-00248A. Although the tuner is different (according to Encompass.com) it's footprint on the board is exactly the same as the 248B so I decided to de-solder the tuner off the scrap board to see what I was getting in to.

As you can see in the picture the terminals and solder pads are super small. No matter what I tried I could not get either the terminals or support...

Sony OLED XR-77A80J - 5 Flashes But Turn On After Hard Reset
                                          by odie34
I am a hobbyist (not a professional) so please be gentle...

I recently received an XR-77A80J that wouldn't turn on. (Repeating 5 flashes when plugged in.)

I did a hard reset by holding the power button for about 30 seconds until the set powered down. I then tried to turn it on and it powered up, bringing me to the setup screen. There's not a lot of detail on the setup screen but the picture didn't have any distortions, so at least a cursory examination suggests no physical damage to the screen. The set appeared to be working normally, but it shut down after about 15 seconds,...

Philips MDP 3380/12 Blu-ray Player – No Power, Reset Signal Always High

I'm troubleshooting a Philips MDP 3380/12 Blu-ray player that shows no signs of life. The display remains off, and no buttons respond.

Inside, the power supply is working correctly, and all expected voltages on the mainboard match the service manual specifications. The CPU warms up slightly (checked with a thermal camera), the crystal oscillator is functioning, but the reset signal remains high at all times.

The reset circuit appears to consist of two NPN transistors, one driven by 5V VCC and the other by 3.3V STBY, as shown in the attached schematic. Should the reset...

ASUS M5A78L-M LX - PWR button works sometimes, CPU stuck in reset

                                          Hi,
Firstly I'd like to apologize if this was posted in the wrong forum (I'm new here )
Recently I got an ASUS M5A78L-M LX board in a scrap lot. Saw one broken cap which I've replaced. No broken traces and missing components. While soldering a new cap a bit of solder got onto components bellow SB (opposite of the two lythic caps). Didn't see it and powered the board on.
I was greeted with it not starting. Came back to it a day later and shorted the PS_ON with GND to force it on. It sprung to life but with CPU stuck in reset (it was an FX 4600 I believe). Thats when I saw the...
