Hi if you get the kit with the surface mount capacitors that are for the control board I would not change them. Having done a few TV's with this problem I just change the parts for the zsus board.

Parts in kit would be the same. I have found the control board to be ok so never changed the caps that comes in the kit.

http://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/281287340985 is what I would get. Only 8 parts to change. The same model of TVs that don't switch on are usually the same parts that need changed.

People are saying replace the caps on the control board as it may be causing failures of the Z-sustains.

I did try replace some caps on one board once and made the picture go all blocky. I have repaired 5 zsus boards since then and all are still working fine. Some were the red mist others were when the TV just clicked and didn't come on. Same parts replaced that caused both problems.

OK FOR Plasma TVs that Get Snow, or Like Shimmering Pixels uniformly per entire screen depending on the color displayed. PLASMA HDTVs that Do not that have stupid japan garbage made Multi Pin Chip on the Y Sus or Z suz Board. Meaning they have Transistors Only. I found that some TVs hide the Left YSus Y-Sustain boards, (especially boards made by Samsung (and NOT LG) the little capacitors like 220 100uf, explode they bulge or the ESR gets low, which is easy to tell, because the shrink tube that is on a capacitor starts to shrink and expose the top they become bad. Specifically near and around the Y-RR Adjustment, which is also the adjustment for this kind of uniform snow. They need to be replaced, its like 4 capacitors like Philips 42PF96331D/37 had this problem, but the initial problem was 6 bad capacitors (extra large)(med) on the main board which make the TV not/ No power on. So if your getting snow, check the voltages like vs and va, if they are to spec, then look on the ysus, if its a better style which has transistors, the caps on that board the small caps, are crap, and if that does not fully fix it, try adjusting the Y-RR on the Y Sus, (make sure you mark with a sharpie where you started. But its lack of electrolytic fluid. I notice that some capacitors have been 1 size for 30 years all of a sudden they become half the size, replace those, as they are china made garbage. Samsung makes 470uf 220Uf 100Uf 330Uf 2200 and 1000 and 1500 WAY TOO SMALL. I look at Rubicons they never make garbage like that so if its half the size of a newer Rubicon and it looks like the plastic shrunk around it, its usually garbage. Alot are Low ESR to began with so the ESR test is totally Useless, i stopped doing it, it makes no sense as the sizes vary so MUCH that you should really just measure the UF and if its exact within 5% its a good capacitor.

                          Hello,
on this laptop hp g72 b52sf i have screen problems as you can see with the photo joined in attachments.
the used graphic card is "intel hd graphics" and the id of the integrated screen is : "monitor/SEC3354".
i verified the driver of the péripherals and they are ok. i verified the definition and settings of the graphic card and of the screen : definition 1600x900 and refreshment frequency :60hz. (they are the sames for the graphic card and the screen).
i don't understand the reasons of the white stripe at the bottom of the screen below the task...

(If anyone has a functional boardview file of FX505DV/DU that would be helpful)
(Had 3 problems, now just 1)

I have no experience or knowledge and usage of tools to repair devices besides the entire past 12-10 days of researching, watching YouTube repair videos and troubleshooting this laptop motherboard. ChatGPT was used as a guide to ask questions.
I used boardviews of mostly FX505GD-M, and some FX505DU, FX505DD. Used schematics of FX505DU.

I had originally intended to replace the BQ24780s first (due to previous battery removal while benchmarking) but I...

                          USB problems?
                          by Hondaman
Recently I discovered my SSD died (OCZ/Toshiba 240 GB). It was in a USB enclosure, attached to the Linksys WRT-AC1200 router. Since then I removed the USB enclosure and attached it to my Win7 PC (AMD 8150 CPU, 970 chipset, 64 GB RAM). I also gathered one or two other USB enclosures to figure out what is going on.

(I suspect that I lost quite a few MP3 and FLAC files I recently ripped from my audio CDs, I think I lost very little un-replaceable stuff.)

I think it is IMPOSSIBLE for Win7 to have any problems with a USB enclosure as long as Win7 knows how to speak to the...

A2141 minor liquid damage, U3100 TOP port dead. Periodically boots to 20V ~1A on other USBC ports

Just wondering if anybody has seen this issue. I'm assuming that all of the CD3217's are semi functional for the chips to request 20V from the PSU.

This unit had some soda spattered up into the side vent. I ultrasonic cleaned the board, now getting this weird sometimes requesting 20V behavior, then it goes back to 5.2V ~ 25mA The U3200 jack cycles.
I'm hoping this is just an issue with some components between the TOP Jack and U3100 and not U3100 itself.

Not seeing anything unusual on thermals just some of the power supply inductors getting warm when it's requesting...

Need help to solve some problems with this laptop.

After working in bed with it one night and heating up too much (probably the cause of this problems) the sata HDD OS windows froze
After restart the original Sata HDD was not recognized anymore (but works fine in other laptops or PCs)

Tried connecting other good Sata 2.5 HDDs but not one is working in this laptop anymore (not the original nor others)

Before this had happened I observed some other problems:
When I tried replacing original mecanical HDD with a SSD HDD could not get them...
